How MAL gonna handle this?

Volume 2 (aka Season 2) trailer has dropped but it seem that there will be more western studio animating this than the Japanese which kinda against MAL description of anime. Will MAL being ignorance on this or straight up skip this one?

It's been a while since I've checked their policy regarding what they deem as anime but if there are japanese studios working on it and it's marketed/produced for a japanese audience then I think it will likely be allowed on the site.

They will probably only add the episodes animated by japanese studios, like what they did with the Transformers recaps https://myanimelist.net/anime/39101

probably just do individual episodes like they already do. They'll treat it like an ona or music video.

I don't think it fits anyone's definition of anime except the japanese definition of course. Still, they got some legendary companies doing some of these shorts which is great.

Actually you got D'ART Shtajio from Japan and Studio Mir that did Lookism from South Korea, so these 2 episodes can be added as individual entries.

Trying to watch all available anime series so you won't have to anymore, the list of anime I can recommend is still in progress, tho
