| It's been a week since Dani returned from the hospital in Lausanne. The little boy can now run through the fields in good spirits. A few days later, Old Man Peguin decidesto go to Mr. Givet's house in Lausanne. The kind grandpa makes Annette and Lucien promise that they would not lose their honesty, and that they will continue to have the courage to love others. Finally, Annette and Lucien graduate from Rossinière Elementary School. After graduation, each of the children has his or her own path to follow, but they vow to remain best friends forever. And thus comes the end of the story of a boy and a girl from the small village of Rossinière, Switzerland. Goodbye Lucien, goodbye my Annette. |
