I think they did this just because most people who watch precure are kids and in heartcatch specifically there’s a lot of sad scenes and they didn’t really want to get kids emotional so they made the fairies poop our hearts just to make them laugh. I watched heartcatch when I was 10 and honestly thought it was kinda cringe.

I was wondering the same thing to be honest. I like the rest of the show, so after a while I just started making jokes to myself out of those otherwise cringe moments.

I wondered the same thing. Easily the worst part of this show. I look away every time it happens. It's not funny, it's just gross.
