Any anime’s like nomad?

I’m just tryna find an anime where it’s kinda the same as nomads, he was ontop,then he lost it all by the death of his pops (wanting to kill himself m, but got on the right track and built/rebuilt a family again.

As far as boxing anime hajime no Ippo is a lot better of a story about boxing, it’s not as dark as nomad tho

As far as I know, there's no sports anime that gives less screen time to things regarding their respective sports like Nomad MegaloBox 2 did. So it's very rare to find such stories
Well, Ashita no Joe gives the same vibes as Nomad, but it doesn't have good animation and soundtrack as Nomad.
Also, Vinland Saga is somewhat similar to Nomad, even better in every aspect... but it's not a sports anime

Taisou Zamurai, though it's quite a comedy, not as serious as Megalo Box. Also no drug/alcohol. On a plus side the protagonist is a full adult, not a teenager like the majority of sports anime. You might want to search outside the sports anime scope.

It's based on the vastly superior Ashita no Joe. The best boxing anime of all time imo
