Surprisingly Ikumi can control the Vital Garter all by himself when it had previously always needed a whole crew to operate. In a way I'm beginning to wish Blue would take over command again...

It's not like I like Fiana or understand when or how she came to think she was in a relationship with that idiot but mind you Kouji is the worst character of the show and in my view the most detestable persona. Why Fiana takes so much interests in a boy like that is a mystery.

Ikumi snapped big time. Strangely enough, after his little personal crisis, Kouji seems better adjusted than most of the people on the Ryvius who are on the verge of a breakdown.

It's a bit strange that Kouji after showing no romantic interest in Aoi whatsoever suddenly decides to protect just her and dumps Fiana. At least he showed some spine at last.

Faina is going to kill Aoi . . .

Also Kouji has shown romantic inclinations towards Aoi on multiple occasions throughout the series (especially the fact that when he was knocked out, he was reminiscing about Aoi) . . .

But anyways, Ikumi has snapped! I mean I thought he was going to imitate blue, even though too be honest that wouldn't work any longer. Blue made the people believe he was on there side, and then used force to maintain stability, also they still had hope they would be rescued. However that is no longer the case, pretty sure that what Ikumi is doing will only hasten the insanity spreading amongst the ship. (Plus now that he is on the Vital Guarder how would he know if there is violence going on in the ship? Not like he has any allies to confirm that they are listening to him, nor can he see (or even hear) inside the ship aside from hearing inside the bridge.)

Fucking yes. Kouji, dump that bitch. Faina is the female worst character I've seen for quite a while.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Ikumi has gone psycho..

Why did he dump Faina??? That idiot. Suddenly Aoi is becoming an important character??

Also I think I figured out what the fight was about. It's probably who is going to protect Aoi in the future or something.

Kouji is finally telling what he thinks about their relationship to Faina. Good thing.

And FINALLY someone snapped! Go Ikumi! I really felt like someone has to do something major to put some sense into the passengers of Ryvius!

Actually what Ikumi is doing is the smartest thing they could do right now, if the guys at top would just let it happen. They tried to burn a kid at the very start of the episode, they constantly beat up people in the hallway and not to mention all the hints of rape going around. The ship is in anarchy and the guys in charge have very little real power right now as they have no top dog. Eventually those idiots are gonna do something irreversible and everyone's just gonna start killing each other and then they'll die in the stupidest of manners. Anyone with just a little bit of foresight can see what direction this is heading in. What Ikumi is doing has the potential to save the ship but it probably won't because he doesn't have anyone else backing him up.

Public morale is low? What are you talking about Juli, who cares about morale when there is no public order. And though Ikumi has gone of the deep end, his idea isn't that bad as Faust_Voncleave said, probably could've gotten the rest of the Vital Guarder crew to agree with him. Nice to see Kouji doing something other than following the flow, of course he had to end with saying Ikumi is contradicting himself, when he isn't

It may sound cruel, but I think this is what I wanted to see. I see the all the outside interference as unnecessary. The core of the show is the Ryvius ship with all the people inside, and the most potent drama comes from how they manage to not kill each other with each passing hour. It's almost poetic justice for the Vital Guarder, the machine that has protected everyone, to have become the weapon that threatens to kill them all. It's also interesting to think that Izumi, the person who was the most obsessed with protecting everyone, completely flips and is the one who, thus far, has shown the most destructive tendencies.

Again, this is going almost perfectly according to the writer's whims, where all the set pieces just seem to align just right. Though, it may also be a sign that the show's really taut in that sense.

Finally Kouji mans the hell up. It's obvious he likes Aoi.. so just tell her. You'd think after getting beat up, been labeled as a terriost, your best friend disowning you and people going crazy on the ship who might kill you, you would not have any of these emotional barriers telling her how you feel. Kouji is either emotionally deprived or a doofus.. or both.

I was worried when episode begun with clip show form previous episodes because this show already did that earlier. That time it managed to segue from old clips to interesting new stuff but to have another clip show episode feels like production trouble.

However at the end of this episode I feel somewhat revealed. While not a full on recap episode I still could do without these old clips.

Definitely appreciate the little recap from Aoi's perspective.

And yo, I guess it was all a bit too much for Ikumi 😂.

I like how Faina hasn't actually done anything prior to this episode, but everyone fucking hates her because she is religious lmao

If feels like the whole cast is indirectly telling Kouji to man the fuck up.

So basically living with someone who is naturally pessimistic, indecisive, and weak willed while at the same time trying to force ideas onto Yuki pissed him off over time...

And so Yuki realized Kouji was actually a beta male and beat him up lmao

Ikumi clearly has some past trauma about not being able to save someone close to him and whatever happened to Izumi + the people who died during the Dicastia attack probably broke him.

Faina is definitely going to kill Aoi. She and her mini-cult are clearly upto no good.

I honestly give zero shits about Kouji or Yuki, honestly. Literally every scene focusing them is the worst part of this show.

I also never thought I'd like Lucson the most out of this cast but he's starting to grow on me.

not gona lie, IKUMI is the G. This is what needed to be done. Its not that he's insane tho, because I was literally asking myself, "what the shit is wrong with these people on the ship, they're not even doing anything but complaining. why even save them? plus to have kouze suffer like she did"
So yea, Ikumi is the G for setting those p*ssi*s in line.

The kids are really starting to go crazy. They are starting fires. Why. He tried so hard to get his point across. why can’t you all do the right thing? Ahoy made breakfast. She is here for them. Going into space seemed like a good idea. Things went completely berserk. She overlooked a lot of things. About a lot of people. Kept too busy with daily chores. It’s not that different from the society they were living in. Chimple answer how should he know? How was he supposed to know? She keeps her real feelings hidden on everyone. And He is the person that she told this to.. the Mormon has finally returned. Check this. She told him many times. She doesn’t understand his betrayal. She claims to be hurt by him. They look at things differently. If you accept me as part of you, you will do it. He can’t., he can’t part with his past. He almost makes a threat. Because he was a pest. Why did he have to laugh like that? He’s here. It’s straight to violence. Everyone is trying to escape the truth. Someone needs to put a stop to this. He reminisces on the tyranny. Going where no one else has gone before. He hast to face his past. She attempts affection, and he pushes her away. He thought she was the one, but she is not. He is sorry to have given her hope. Not to worry, she will re-awaken him. He is declaring commandments for the ship at threat of a robot attack. He is not making sense. This one had a lot of recalling not as much of a bombshell as the previous, but still very good. 5
