I've heard the adaptation pacing for this series is quite rushed. I don't know if it's true, but I can certainly say that everything is happening considerably fast. I don't remember at least 40% of the names. What about you?

I had a lot of questions answered with this most recent episode so I'm doing fine personally. it does seem super fast paced but so was the first season

I can say first four episodes were rushed not story wise but in explanation wise they are quite not explaining how the world works (Maybe they might show it in the later episodes as in the LN all the explaination about the world and spirits once again anos explained)

But I can say the latest fifth episode was not rushed and the pacing was good as they covered only two and half of the Chapter of the LN unlike last episodes which covered almost 12 chapters.

As an LN reader I am not having trouble with remembering the names but my friends also said they are pretty much able to remember the names after the re watching of the EP.

It’s not hard to understand at all tbh. And I understand why it’s rushed and I’m not gonna complain because they’re just trying to do faster progression and get to the good parts

By the way I want to ask ๐Ÿ˜…, is Maou Gakuin Popular in Japan? Are the novels selling well there?

Where do you read them? I thought of just buying the e-books on Bookwalker even though I prefer most things physical

I don't live in Japan so I can't tell you accurately, but my friends do so they told me novel is pretty popular here they sold more than 2.2 million with 7 volumes and we don't have any recent updates after volume 7 about sailing as now volume 13 part 1 is comming, although weekly sales are decent , but overall seeling rate is pretty good.

My friend's also said that after season 2 has started airing the fan's are increasing there . aslo that they are discussing about Maou gakuin in college free time more and more people were asking about Maou gakuin and making there own theory about who anos really is and why is he connected to Amur.. ( this part was at the latest volume)

so from what my friend's are saying I think it's popular and selling well although they said manga was getting more popular but sadly because of the death of Manga artist it is on hiatus.

Woow ๐Ÿ˜ณ, I was really surprised that Maou Gakuin was Popular, I thought Maou Gakuin wasn't that popular, because what I know is Tensura is the most Popular

By the way, I want to ask, why can Maou Gakuin get Season Two? Honestly, I don't believe it at all, I think Maou Gakuin won't get the continuation of the anime๐Ÿ˜”,

Maou gakuin is popular but still not as much as tensura.

Well ofcourse it would have gotten a season 2 because of many fan's wanted it and most of the fan's really wanted to see Anos-sama again and it could get even more.

“Did you really think I am goona stop at season 2 only.” well I hoping they do announce something like this for season 3.(if it happens)

I want to ask, is Silver Link Studio really the Suitable Studio to adapt the Maou Gakuin Serial ๐Ÿ˜…?, If not, what Studio is more suitable than Silver Link in your opinion?,

For me Silver Link Studio is really good, I really like it ๐Ÿคฉ, even though Silver Link is not as popular as Wit Studio & 8Bit๐Ÿ˜”

Silver link is good no doubt, but I think series like Maou gakuin should be picked by the studio like Ufotable who are pretty well known doing this type of animation so I think it should be done by them.

In my opinion Ufotable is the wrong choice ๐Ÿ˜…, because Ufotable has no experience adapting anime from novels,I love the way Silver Link improvises, removes unnecessary things, and executes important things properly and precisely, it's just perfect,

For me Visual Silver Link is really good, it's not even as good as Ufotable, I love how Silver Link did Maou Gakuin's Character Design perfectly, and also created the Visual Art of the Anime beautifully.

People forget that the anime has always been fast paced, episode 12 being the worst offender (in which we had the appearance of the lasts of the demon lords, the conclusion of the fight against the Hero academy, the start of the war of humans and demons and the reveal that Lay was Avos Dilhevia all along, all in the same episode). They just notice that now because the show now has included a ton of info dumps and lore lately, which combined with the fast pacing it makes things feel even faster.

yeah, you are right although I am having a feeling that after watching the last episode that the pacing of episodes from now onwards will be more good, because next episode onwards the real show begins with so many cool and amazing plots will be happening.

you know season 2 will be air in 2 seperate cours so you can also think of season 2 part 2 as 3rd season and i hope it will adopt atleast 5 seasons

Generally I love a fast paced show but this one is just odd. It can be classified as Rushed Paced. The storyline is rushing while the dialogues give you a feeling of a slow paced storyline.

What's worse is the fact that this season is a 2 cour one i.e. ~24 episodes and still they rushed it. If they have a lot to cover then why didn't they increased the size of show further by a couple more episodes rather than rushing it.

Its not rushed at all. They just dump a lot of info in some episodes but overall nothing is rushed to a point where a viewer would be lost.

The rushed pace did not lost viewers but ruined their viewing experience. Generally I'm the kind of guy who kinda get lost deep within the story but not here. I didn't feel any connection due to the crappy pacing.

You have absolutely no idea about other viewers experience. From this thread alone we can see mixed opinions and majority dont claim it ruined a show for them so you are speaking out of ass. Also you are watching THIS anime for deep story?

I never meant depth in terms of storyline or anything. What I meant was I enjoy shows to the extent that for those 20 minutes or more (if I'm bingewatching), I forget about what's happening around me. Here that's was simply not the case (though in Season 1, that was the case).

Its going so fast it feels like a different show, it's still good but the first series was a lot better.
