| I did not see this coming, I was certain Cure Wing was a girl. I wonder if this is an effort to get young boys to watch Precure, that or appealing to shotacons in the female audience (the doujin scene has quite a bit of it). The fanart is going to be a ride, that's for sure. |

| thanks I hate it. it was obvious from the start that the design was off. it didn't look boyish like many before, it looked like a boy. cure butterfly is the only reason I'm giving this a chance at all, none of the other designs make me think of magical girls, but I've been heavily influenced by past precure series. |

| I hope it turns out well, I always commend experimenting and trying new things and the first episode was really nice. As long as their purpose with this isn't to pander to woke culture (like western media) there's no reason to assume the worst. |

| Precure has often had boys in the main cast, and Delicious Party even had a boy take part in the fights, so finally making a boy into a full fledged cure doesn't really seem so odd to me. We stil know very little about Wing (even his real name and civilian form is unknown) so I'm excited to see what kind of character he ends up being like. |
| I'm a bit mixed about this idea. While I'm not agest a boy being a part of the team, I'm just not sure how Precure will handle it. Guys in Precure aren't the worst-written characters, but it never feels like they get to contribute or be considered equal to the Cures. I always thought if Precure did this idea, it would be viewed as a joke character or something along those lines. When I first saw Wing, I was positive Wing was a girl. I see it now, but I still feel they're playing this too safe. Thou, I could easily be wrong. Will just have to wait and see. |
| IMO people have every right to be worried or upset. I don't see this any different than being mad that KiraLira removed violence and fights due to complaints. By changing/removing the core of what made precure so well known (girlboss and awesome fights) will obviously bring out uneasiness. Just because they disagree doesn't mean they suck smh while I'm actually excited for wing (and butterfly lol), the negative reactions are understandable. |
