| After 7 chapters, it is still difficult to keep up with the characters: who is who, and the relationships between them. New characters. and new relationships are introduced before I have figured out the last chapter. What I like about it is how different Honey and Clover is from the typical high school rom-com. It is still a school setting, but the characters are young adults living on their own, and the school is a university setting instead of high school. The plot is slow to develop. Looks like it could simply be a rom-com following several couples. But the style is fresh, even 18 years after publishing, so I plan to keep reading. |
