Compare Machikado Mazoku to something like K-ON! or Bocchi the Rock. They both are 4-kouma source, yet the animation/budget/effort is pretty visible. Is not about the animation, but the presentation itself.

I think what OP meant is not something REALLY smooth but along the lines of Yagate Kimi Ni Naru, which is also a comfy slice of life.

Considering it’s a yuri I doubt it’s gonna go above and beyond in terms of animation quality, sadly. Not knocking the genre, I quite enjoy yuri manga, but every anime Adaptation I’ve seen is pretty blah, besides bloom into you and kase-san. Yuri just isn’t a particularly popular/mainstream genre, so it isn’t as easily marketable as a shonen, for example. I’m not getting my hopes up but it would be nice to see this shows anime live up to the gorgeous art in the manga.

I'm been becoming increasingly worried myself, especially with this latest episode of Iceblade. I'm aware that a sol romance doesn't necessarily require the best of animation but I would at the very least like it to look good and smooth considering this is one of my favorite manga. all I can do is hope and pray that it's done justice

if it doesnt look really beautiful then i dont think itll be worth watching. the manga has some of the best art ive seen so if the anime is just a standard boring artstyle with little effort then it wont be the adaption this deserves.

i just hope it does not end up like the Anime adaption of Netsouzu trap, that was shit.

I just saw that yokohama animation was the one who made Lapis re:lights, i loved that anime and the artstyle was amazing, so i'm less scared now

@Asgard6 I believe they meant that despite the source material, the anime themselves were good because of the effort and animation put into them.
