| Horrendous CGI aside, pretty good first episode. I liked it and I felt the despair of the fight at the end |
| It condensed about 2 hours of content (or 3 hours since it added parts from Route B into the episode) into a 23 minute episode. Because of that, it felt very rushed, the dialogue felt super unnatural and it was a bit harder to follow than the game. I put "I disliked it" though, the reason I didn't put "I hated it" is because the puppet show at the end was very, very entertaining. |

| Interesting show. Its first episode was quite alright. As someone who hasn't played the video game, I'm glad that the anime was made also with having people like me in mind. I didn't feel confused even for a moment. Haha, a short scene with puppets at the end of the episode? That was unexpected. In a very positive way, of course. ;p |
| Just saw the BluRay version of this very episode and holy shit this version looks significantly better. Every machine that looked like it borrowed an asset from a game and looked severely outdated and out of place was fixed here and the whole episode feels a lot better as a result. If only production issues weren't there and the BluRay version was the one we got for its premiere, reception might have been significantly more promising from the start for the adaptation. I'm at least glad that the big issues were addressed in this new version. New version images are on top, older version are bottom of it for each (just a few examples):         |
