From this first chapter, it feels like it's going to go be that the girl he likes, thinks he likes the other girl and eventually revealed the girl he likes, likes him back but he realizes he actually loves the childish girl or something along those lines. I'm interested in how this goes.

Agreeing with the previous statement. It looks like because he's infatuated with Yukihira(?) he puts her on a pedestal and is not seeing her as a person (For example, when he went on about how she wouldn't talk about childish topics such as crayfish and how she's so mature, he didn't pay attention to the fact that she was doing the exact opposite). So I think by accidentally spending more time with MIyahara, coupled with the fact that he does not have a crush so he sees her at a neutral, equal perspective, he'll start to love her instead.
