I’m glad it got a second season ( even though from what I have heard this is a different timeline), it’s been 6 years since the Movie dropped. The animation quality, music, and story so far has been enjoyable (this genre Appeals to a certain group of people).

I'm glad there's more content, but very disappointed that they didn't continue with the characters we are already familiar with. Especially with such a grim feel to this timeline such characters would have made my first impression of this season much more enjoyable.

Its more of a story taking place in the same dimension and timeframe, and you guessed it right, its is really boring.

kancolle i think is one of those shows you just turn your brain off to and watch. personally, i enjoyed even though most would say otherwise.

i forgot about the second season, though, thanks for the reminder XD

So far the 2nd season is fairly decent, better than season 1 by quite a bit. Not as good as the movie though IMO.
I think if you like history or the game, you'll enjoy this. Only season 1 is really turn your brain off and watch I think. Both the movie and this series isn't super complicated but its not some slice of life 90% of the time as is in S1.
Shigure is a way better MC choice, although I think the characterization in the series is still very lacking. I think the battles are far better. Leyte has far more potential but after seeing ep3 and 4, I think they played it too safely... Instead of going down the darker path but that's just my take on it.
This season wasn't boring for me, more entertaining than the first, not as good as the movie... but it's not shockingly amazing. I think the music has been quite decent although animation is quite poor.

I'm only watching it now since I thought by this time episode 8 might be completed. But I'm pretty sad they left out most the SoL parts in this show. The battles are definitely better. but so far this intend ed ''dark and gloomy'' athmosphere is just that. gloomy in lighting and athmosphere only really. I think they should've stuck to their guns with what they're good at. I don't really know how well this does in japan other than the game and figure sales. But my guess is that this anime is equally unimpressive to them.
