So It's been a while since I've seen the show, but I had an old screenshot of Alice "Checkmating" Bocchan, except the board state clearly isn't a checkmate for either player. I believe this happens in episode 6 or 7 (or another later episode). Black's king can move behind the queen to get out of check, and we can see that black has already taken one of white's rooks. So there is no threat of mate even in the next 2-3 moves. Thoughts? |
