Volume Five, Chapter One (the twentieth numbered chapter in total)
AKA Invading The Holy Land

Me, sitting here wondering if/ when ever will Momo accept the dear princess' feelings, heh ':/

"A barrier that sturdy is just begging to be broken. I'd love to try cutting it down someday." A perfect reminder of why Ashuna is my favourite character. Righteous princess knight that seems to just want to partake in the most challenging things imaginable xD

Relatively slow chapter to get volume five started off, though I'm not complaining. More of the Momo x Ashuna dynamic along with a very healthy dose of worldbuilding as well, which naturally, produced just as many questions as answers.

The most interesting to come up might have been the Dragon Gate, with the ability to effectively teleport matter. I wonder if the name is linked to the reason for the similarly named Human Error being eradicated (in order for the faust to harvest the conjuring).

Of course, the strange relationship between the faust and the director (the fourth caste) still proves enigmatic, with the Director having the ability to enter the cathedral of the Holy Land (which is supposedly only accessible to higher ranking members of the faust.)

I presume Menou's arrival in the Holy Land is a precursor to a stealth operation, to rescue Akari, or keep her in check, while she tries to figure out the larger scheme that's in play (looking toward Elcami and the coming of the lord, whatever that means...), I guess we might find out in the next chapter...
