Watched Magic Kaito - should I skip certain episodes from 1412?

As the title says, I’ve just finished Magic Kaito and was planning to start 1412, but the first episode is basically the same as the original “specials” series. Since 1412 has 24 episodes, I guess it goes further than the original which only had 12, but is the first dozen or so episodes remakes of the original? If so, can I skip these episodes without missing any new important information, and head straight for the previously unadapted material? Where should I start?

I don't remember anymore, pretty sure you can google it. But I believe that you should just start every episode and see if you've already watched it before. I think episode 3 wasn't in the first magic kaito series

There are episodes that are remade from the previous specials and even some detective conan episodes where kid is present (told this time from his pov). I do still recommend watching them all (since the specials did add and change some things not present in the original manga chapters to fit more with detective conan rules, whereas 1412 is rather faithful and omits those), but feel free to skip if you don’t feel like rewatching them again
