Not a fan of Yuzuki's arc in the slightest. While I enjoyed Chitose's wild ride while he tries to get Kenta back to school, the whole fake dating thing with Yuzuki wasn't entertaining at all. Yada yada yada delinquent boy from other school vs Chad Chitose yada yada zzzzz

Surprised Kuro-sensei only step in to prevent Yanashita from entering the school and nothing more. Tomoya being the "plot-twist" stalker should be something obvious from the start but I didn't

The synopsis for vol 3 hints at something with Asuka so I have no doubt I'll enjoy that more than this volume

You must be crazy OP. I absolutely loved this volume, whereas I really liked vol 1 but didn't think it was absolutely incredible like this one. It was a total rollercoaster of emotions.

I like how much more drama-focused this volume was, it was depressing to see Nanase at her lowest but so worth it for that payoff at the end. Nanase's characterization and development throughout the volume was top tier, she's easily my second favourite character after Chitose himself. And Chitose was just... awesome in this volume. The scene where Nanase's getting slapped by the stalker while she stands her ground and he jumps in to save her was like... dang. He's one of my favourite protagonists now. And the scene where he's just hitting the stalker over and over, thoroughly getting revenge for what he did to Nanase? It just didn't feel like the chill, relaxed Chitose we knew and it was amazing. Like he became someone he wasn't in that moment for Nanase's sake.

In general Nanase and Chitose just have excellent interactions with one another as well, it really does feel like they're on the same wavelength as opposed to the other girls in Chitose's friend group. Honestly, a 10/10 volume for me. Vol. 1 was more of an 8.5/10.

Miles better than volume 1. My biggest issue with volume 1 was the comedy being super weak. This time there were no such issues.

Great arc, tho kura not doing anything after that school face off doesn't really sit well with me. It's not consistent with his character. An 8-8.5/10 volume.

Anyway, I really hope we see some more original themes in the next few volumes. Inspiration is all well and good, but the previous volume felt right out of tomozaki(Tomozaki blamed the very game of life;Kenta blamed popular folks in general. In fact chitose's take of hating social labels is pretty much same as Tomozaki later in the story), while this one's theme of fear and how it was solved was straight out of COTE(Y1V7).
