In the last released episode did you notice something wrong with the scene where Suzuno and Chiho are walking down the beach at SUNRISE? The light is clearly coming from the left, right? So why are the shadows suggesting that it’s midday?!?!? You can spare the time to draw the proper shadows, can’t you?! I loved the first season. When they introduced Alas Ramus I was a bit disappointed, but still liked it a lot. Then they completely change the relationship dynamic. Okay, okay, that’s fine, but to mess up SHADOWS? Sorry for ranting, but still. I’ll keep watching it. I do like it. But now, it’s just another badly animated regular anime. I’ll keep the first season in my heart and forget about the second in a year.

Well said. Also the characters positions around 22:00 of ep7 (top down view), leaves much to be desired, looking kinda abstract.

the whole reason this season's art style looks bad is because of the shadows. They didn't draw them properly.

Emi's face looks so different.

this season has a really low budget, the character design and mediocre direction are clear proofs of that. Take a look at one random episode from the first season and you'll see the difference.

Guess you never played Super Mario 64. This is what all shadows are supposed to look like.

My bad man I thought you were talking about their standing positions in relation to their basic oval-like shadows and how they don’t seem to fully portray the body of the character in the shot. Lol I see what you mean now.
