Oh that must have been a pretty awful experience for Farma nearly losing another sister.

Ah so the old dude wasn’t someone inspecting the place he just got the idea to give the sailor candy to sailors.

Saw that trap setup coming..

Ahhh they just had to leave it on a cliffhanger like that. Come on....now gotta wait a week.

The church would. Particularly as it’s loosely based on the Catholic/Christian church. That’s a common happening irl. They regularly go against science and kill people.

I don't see how that's true so far. The inquisition guys aren't going after Farma because of his scientific discoveries, they're going after him because of his uncanny mystical powers (which I guess make him dangerous in their eyes, and can you 100% blame them?).

I can't blame Falma for what he did. Losing his little sister once before in his old life was tragic enough, but losing another little after being reincarnated would've been downright cruel, so he had to do what he need to do in order to save Blanche. His powers were overkill, but it was worth it as it saved his sister's life. Despite being a bit fearful of his powers, both Lotte and Elen reassured Falma that they were not scared of him in their respective scenes with him.

However, his powers were spotted by someone who notified the church of this parallel world and they made their move. Firstly, they sent a horse and carriage to heavily damage his pharmacy shop and when the clean-up got underway, they were able to bait Falma out by having a lady make up a fake story of her father being unwell just to get Falma away on his own. Now he's been lured into a trap by the inquisitor of the church and I won't be surprised if he makes an attempt to kill Falma in the next episode.

With the power of hindsight and knowing more than the main character himself, it's too easy to criticise Falma for not knowing something that us viewers knew what would happen and, sadly, a few users here have fallen for that old cliche in their arguments. In his position, most would think of that lady running up to him as an emergency case and, if he refused then and there, it would've looked bad on his reputation. Not just that, there was no time to get the likes of Elen to go with him and the last thing you want to do in an emergency like this is to waste time.

It's not the best writing I've seen from this series, but the arguments against him here for the reasons above are rather poorly thought out.

Little rant aside, I do look forward to seeing what will happen to Falma next time. Hopefully he can get his reasoning across to this inquisitor, but I think he'll be the type of guy to make an assumption then act upon it instead of giving Falma a fair chance to fairly explain for himself.

Yeah! Let's call a god-blessed boy a villain who erased the ocean by bare hand, try to abduct him and try to fight him with magical sticks! We must be the most clever Spanish religious knights!

I said after last week's episode that there was probably going to be some form of terrorist attack soon, or at least it was one of the strong possibilities. Only I thought the older man (the pharmacy's first customer) would be involved from his reactions and body language/gestures.

Small-minded cretins. They hear a whisper and come close to catching a mere glimpse of magnificence and a power which could be harnessed for the betterment and advancement of such a great deal - that would elevate both countries, the whole human species; maybe even the planet. And their first instinct is to kill, burn, smash, destroy!

And most regrettably, it likely wouldn't play out any differently in our real world Earth. Far too many of these troglodytes who impede and retard daily the innovation and welfare of all humanity over their abject nonsense. Especially Abrahamic religion universalist fanatic extremists like Christian fundamentalists and Islamists.

As soon as someone has a sound idea which can improve life for some people and offer a way out of drudgery, there'll be the equal opposite force of cult-esque humans popping their obnoxious heads up immediately to try with all their might to prevent it from happening, snuff out the light, and mindlessly destroy. It seems as expected and predictable at this point as an object conforming to the law of gravity.

The first half with the beach gave me a bit of whiplash lol, first we’re having a fun time at the beach, had a little funny moment with Blanche and Charlotte, got a sexy Elen moment once again, but then Blanche is immediately drowning and Farma has to become Moses to save her lol, this show man, but I mean really that’s how life is, on a dime stuff can turn sour. I also really liked the Charlotte moment at the end of the first half.

And the 2nd half was interesting, now there’s a religious group that’s after Farma because word got out about his Moses moment, and they were most likely the ones that flung a carriage of shit into his pharmacy. Thankfully the people of the city have already grown to like Farma and helped him out with the cleanup, that was pretty wholesome. But then a girl lures Farma away from the pharmacy to help her dad, but the moment they went off the path and up a hill I knew something was wrong, and now Farma is surrounded by the religious group that’s after him, go figure lol. Next week will be intense for sure.

Moses moment lol. Yeah first half was nice with the beach section (Elen looking good as always) until Farma started reminiscing about his sister from his previous life and suddenly found his current sister, Blanche, drowning. Farma was not about to lose this sister too, good for him for not hesitating. The Charlotte moment was really nice too and they both got closure from that incident.

Regarding the second half, I realized something was wrong when they went off the path and then that girl disappeared. It sucks that they used an medical emergency but clever too. I don't know what's going to happen next but hopefully they hear Farma out and let him go or they try to take him and he unleashes some of his power. Farma could resist too to not bring more unwanted attention and hope that his father steps in. We'll see that's for sure.

Falma needs to be a bit more careful, Wanted to help others is a good thing but he knew he was being targeted yet he fell for such an obvious trap.
It should have been clear to him ones he was lured out of the city but he even went of the track.

Lets hope nothing bad happens to him.

The way he saved his sister was nice but getting so far into sea wasn't a good thing.
Not that they where trying to get that was into water but it happened anyway, always pay attention when going near water with children.

In honesty, most of the adult staff there didn't notice about the trap. But I can't blame them, to assassinate the son of an archduke will be a big crime so, in the minds of most adults, only an idiot would kill Falma.
On the side note. Medicine and Religion will probably never find full compatibility. Even anti-vaxxers refuse certain medicines due to petty religious issues. Even worse in the dark ages where pharmacists were executed as either heretics or witches. Hopefully cats are ok, in this anime, since cats were persecuted in the dark ages. Yet modern religion still has it problems, I still remember 2020 where religious pastors tell people to Ignore covid lockdowns and go to church, making terrible claims that "god will protect you."
While I am not saying religion is bad, being "too religious" produces the worse results; the most recent worst result was the Assassination of Shinzo Abe, which stemmed from how the assassin blamed the Unification Church for the destruction of his family life.

Anyway, as usual in any fantasy world, the church is dangerous. Using Arslan Senki's Bodin as an example, it is no surprise a fantasy religion has crazy people that promotes mindless violence and unreasonable genocide; in Falma's case, the church's actions are unreasonable since his pharmacy is generously helping commoners yet religion wants to destroy good medicine. In the worse case scenario, using Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! and How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord as typical examples, fantasy religious organizations is often very corrupted as most of the religion's positives have been destroyed and misused by human avarice.
Just him being a arch duke is already reason to need some extra protection even if there are high risks involved with assassinating him.
His position means he has a lot of influence whether he wants to use that or not people with high influence have always been a target and high risk can also mean high gains.
In this case the religion is scared of losing its influence or they have some petty idea but historically political on influential have been assassinated for a large number of reasons and lets not forget that the assassination of a archduke led to one of the worst conflicts in Human history.

Hmmm there are some skipped parts from ep 5 to ep 6. But I guess that is just to keep up with the story arc schedule and they are not really important.

Btw, I liked the quality of this episode, how the head priest images are just as good as it's manga version.

...It gets complicated.
Farma is in Marseirre. And while his father saw the land he had been given, Farma went to sea. But something happened, his sister was drowning and he was quick to rescue her. And at that moment Farma separated the sea, activated a negative divine art. He was worried.
On his way back, in the pharmacy there were two suspicious people. And the next day the pharmacy was destroyed. Quickly they are fixing everything and Farma was asked for help by a customer, but it was a trap. I take Farma to the Inquisitors of the Holy Kingdom, they know what happened at sea.
Let's see what happens, good chapter.

Bruh... yet another anime with cultists/religious fanatics...

"the church is evil," again...

Farma acted stupid here. His store just got attacked. There are suspicious individuals roaming in his store. He clearly has enemies, yet he still wonders alone without guards...

C'est Marseille bébé 😎 Anyway he showed his true powers at the beach and dead that huge hole directly into the sea to save his little sister, and now the Church wants to kill him for his powers... they already trapped him I guess he'll have to use them again to get out of this situation.

Well, we already knew from early episodes that the Church and most of the world Farma is now in... believed that Medicine God is a Heretic and thus evil... even tho Elen and Farma's dad already talked about the Medicine God is in fact Good.

And we already know that the Church also controls the Nobility, and thus also the Royalty...

There's a reason why everyone close to Farma tells him to keep his powers a secret.

So Farma thought that Lotte was scared of him because of his magical power but in fact she was scared because she thought she was gonna beheaded, like that would have been the normal punishment for a servant that managed to get a noble child drowned.

Because religious people are always so obsessed with what they cannot explain or do not understand, if they listened a little and opened their minds they would understand, so much scientific backwardness and deaths in vain for religion, so blind to their faith that even though they are doing good others in their eyes are heretics and deserve death.

You subtracted the entire localized seawater, congratulations! Unfortunately some other kid saw it, made a tall tale of it...and then you left traces of magic there.

As lame cliche as it sounds, "Nobody expected the Inquisition" but here we are, sigh.
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Falma gets caught up in the sights of a religious faction thanks to his displacement of water. His pharmacy was sabotaged too so it could be done by the same religious faction that seeks to eliminate him. Episode was good finally some sense of conflict, good to see the citizens work together to clear the rubble.
