Is this is a parody isekai?

I thought it was generic but episode 7 really made me feel that it's a parody. What sold me is the 20 sec awkward pause at around 4:50 and the ridiculous(ly hilarious) facial expressions at around 16:14. Or is this just the style of comedy.

No, it was just meant for comedic effect, this episode had some genuinely funny moments, that's all.

The manga is even better, it has hilariously dry humor. Especially yuuji’s way of approaching things is very funny. I would definitely advise you to read the manga. To me the yuuji in the anime doesn’t really do his personality justice. You’ll find out ofyou read the manga
