About the Beam Sword Style Arc

When I've just finished Enchousen, I had a problem. Kintama arc was surprisingly great; and the Courtesan Of A Nation arc, God, It's definitely up there with the 4 Devas, SS, Rakuyo, SA and FS imo. But there's 1 thing, the Beam Sword Style arc, this has to be one of my least favorite arcs along with the (Don't mad at me) Red Spider arc and Renho Arc. The arc itself I coul see some emotional scene in there but I couldn't really take it as deep as the other arcs; the fight was good, the moment Gintoki begged the Shinsengumi to help him was the best thing in this arc and it really touched me. But, talk about the whole arc, It's not that good, I would definitely put this a 10 without this arc.

I liked beam sword more than kintama, but courtesan was miles ahead of these 2.

I enjoyed beam sword arc. My favourite is still Renho arc.

Well, I am a Gundam fan, I like that Elizabeth has the same VA as Amuro while Dark Vader has the same VA as Char. The best part is still when Shinpachi cried out ‘Renho Federation’. And then there is the NewType connection between Amuro and Char. 😂😂😂😂

I was more surprise that you put Renho Arc in your least favorite arc. That is extremely good especially the Gundam fight animation is not you expected for parody gag humor anime, which is so great (and i even not a Gundam fan just you know). And the jokes just top notch, especially the ending🤣. Definitely one of my favorite arc in Gintama.

Despite of that, I truly agree the beam sword arc is the least favorite serious arc, atleast for me

I forgot about renho arc but red spider i would out amongst the top 10 serious arcs. As for the beam sword arc, it's at B tier for me, we get great interactions between gintoki and shinpachi and some backstory on the dojo.
