Oh absolutely. The photography girl was 500 times better than Natsume she literally had no business winning in the end. She literally liked someone else for years and used her friend to vent and ask for advice and then we’re supposed to feel sympathetic towards her because she was confused about her feelings? F outta here w that sh*t lmfao. I liked how realistic this anime was for the most part and was entertaining but it definitely got worse and worse towards the end. Really sad, show had lots of potential.

Nah, i was never salty.
I was just crushed by the intense despair, which still hasn't gone to this day.
And I first watched this series some 4 years ago...

I've probably never supported a ship in a romance series as much as I did Komiya.
She was just too perfect that she deserved to win. And i always had some little hope that she would...

I wouldn't call it unpopular. I'm obviously late to this anime, but I'm right there with you. Would-be stoic characters that always pussy-foot around things or withdraw when their pride is hurt are the worst. This entire anime is filled with so many convenient misunderstandings and timings just to spice things up for the sake of spicing things up (and give oxygen to weak plot points). It makes the whole story ring hollow in the end. Haruto and Hazuki were the only redeeming part of the story that felt somewhat real imho, and the only reason I'm holding back right now.

Just watched it, what a letdown komiya deserved a good ending and natsume really did not just have enough impact on me. Moreover I expected natsume to win, because that's just what it is with typical slice of life/romcom anime. I was in denial of that predicament up until the last episode.

Truthfully komiya deserved to win, but I already expected Natsume win at the end. It is painful and sad but i think that reflected how cruel it is in real life. If someone has feeling for other for years, it would be hard to change that fact (at least from what I experience that is).

Fuck Natsume, she had her chance. Izumi definitely should've gotten over her and settled for Komiya, but she was way too good for him anyway so she lucked out in my eyes.

If this was a regular rom-com it would've been hilarious (and better) if Izumi suddenly got together with Natsume's sister :)

Everyone trash-talking Natsume for "settling" for Eita, as if Eita choosing Komiya would not be the exact same thing x)

When you think about it, Natsume's change of heart is not that out of the blue; she already started having suspicions about Eita's feelings for her at the end of episode four, which in turn made her aware of him as a member of the opposite sex. Add to that Komiya creating a sense of impending urgency by approaching Eita, it is not completely out of the left field that Natsume realises her feelings in the next episodes. In all likelihood, she already harboured feelings that were close to love a long time ago. They simply needed a spark to be ignited.

On the other hand, Eita did not budge even under Komiya's advances, which is too bad for her, though props to him for making it clear at the end. No one is in the wrong there, it is just unlucky for Komiya that Eita's heart already decided on someone. It is not like that person liking him back or not changes anything.

As they say, win some, lose some. 'Tis a good day to be rooting for Natsume.
