I know that arise is not as good as the rest of the other GIS works, but does it at least have a philosophy or depth behind it ? Because this is the reason i started watching the series to begin with.

it's perfectly good action/detective shlock. As a ,,prequel,, its has plenty of contradictions to earlier series, its really is no depth per say, but if you really like gits and have time then it's an alright series. Don't expect any kind of levels of philosophy like in INNOCENCE do.
