| Does it have a release date now? If it's a decent film then it would definitely be in the running for Japan Academy prize. I'm also quite confident that it will be released stateside. |

| finished watching the movie with english subs ye it can be watch as a standalone movie but only like 90-95% imo because it will be more enjoyable to watch the 2 old TV series too for maximum enjoyment |
| I don't think this should be watched standalone at all. It's not a remake, summary, sidestory or anything similar but rather a direct sequel that connects both of the main anime and concludes both of the stories. Yes there is that short 10 second summary for both series included in the movie but if that was enough than people could just watch recap of a show and start from a later season of it. |

| You're definitely missing a lot in doing so, the movie is like 50% fanservice for the crossover of dynazenon and gridman, not seeing any of them before will not only take away from this and all the references but will let you with a lot of info gaps that will not get fully exaplined |
