I think so too, but I watched comedy Anime and laughed a lot from them (Seitokai Yakuindomo, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, Joshikousei no Mudazukai). Do you think Teppen is a funny show? I haven't seen any of them that you have mentioned but the only similar comedy anime that I have watched is probably Nichijou? Even so, I only found Nichijou moderately funny, but very creative nonetheless. Well, humour is always subjective. I think to understand Teppen better, one probably has to understand the cultural background and the language used behind the jokes. Unfortunately, I am not really an expert in Japanese culture and only a beginner in Japanese so I don't think I am in the position to judge the quality of the jokes I guess. But to answer your question, the jokes are just slightly funny to me. Average would be the word to describe it. |

| i have gotten a couple of laughs but i think u need to be well versed in the japanese culture to actually understand whats funny about it but nonetheless i still find it quite enjoyable as a sol overall |

The first episode was quite genius weaving the whole plot of the missing figure among the whole cast of girls in a single episode. The rest of the episodes hasn't had this level of quality writing, most of them just feels like random wacky stuff happening in the background along with tons of cultural references to different Japan prefectures. |
| So I just finished this, and I found that the further into the anime I got the premise for each episode became more and more ridiculous, so I did think that some parts were funny. There were a couple of episodes that were not funny at all though. |
