| It was fairly entertaining and overall captivating, but it's too unbelievable to be adequatly good. The romance is cute but too childish in how easy it is for all the horror to simply be ignored and forgotten. The concept is intriguing, and it remains decent in the end, while a continuation could be even better, but it fails to have the right balance of horror and romance, because her childishness is poorly overused in killing the trauma that she should still have in the finale. I guess because she fused with their God, she's immune to that emotion to an extent, but it's still odd. Her brother's mysterious insanity of becoming a blood sucker by investing his character too much to the gods was very lackluster and disappointing, while the little brother's attitude was seemingly illogical with no reason shown to why he acts the way he does. So is the mother barely explained in how she mostly became an emotionless mute after attempting to commit suicide. The sudden revenge from a man killing her family was exciting and tragic for how abrupt it was, but I guess it could have at least been hinted. The boy's personality of being fearless to save others is a littlle odd and unrealistic as well to what is presented in his character/unbringing. It has decent plots and points, but unfortunately it's not greatly constructed or balanced, with a lot of missing depth to better show its foundation. 4/10. |
