Before I start I’d love to clarify, I have neither seen the whole anime (episode 7 atm) nor have I read the manga, therefore correct me if possible.
Tonikaku Kawaii disguises itself as a romantic comedy with a shounen subtext, it includes everything that you’d want from a nice & sweet 12-episoder.
For anyone who hasn’t read the manga or watched the anime, please, do not continue further.
Our main heroine, Yuzaki Tsukasa is a mysterious one, with a background shrouded in fog. As we follow Tsukasa’s and Nasa’s lives however, we are slowly but surely getting more information about Tsukasa’s backstory. At some point, we are presented with her past, about her being the product of a tragedic love story.
When Kaguya descended from the Moon, falling in love with the emperor, she bestowed upon him (before her departure back on the Moon) a flask of immortality. The emperor however, chose to stay mortal, tasking his attendant to destroy the flask on Mt. Fuji, the highest point in Japan. The attendant, chosen to complete this task had a daughter, our heroine Tsukasa. She was on the verge of death, loosing her battle against an illness. Therefore, her father had a choice standing in front of him, to let his daughter go and destroy the flask, or save her and disobey the emperor. The choice was obivous as he saved his daughter and blessed (cursed) her with immortality. This happened 1400 years ago, before the story of Nasa and Tsukasa.
Now, 1400 years is an unimaginable amount of time to us, as it greatly exceeds a human life span. And I find this a true horror, to live for 1400 years, watching your loved ones slowly disappear, witnessing countless world changing events, wars and changes over the course of this period, while also mainting a sense of self. Our emotions are vulnerable, and with the passing of hundreds of Tsukasa’s loved ones, would she retain her mental health? Would she become mindless, devoid of emotion and barren of thought?
As I see it, Tsukasa is a really strong person, for enduring such eternity, therefore I don’t find this a tale of romance and comedy, but more of a concealed drama.
As I mentioned before, I do not know what happens, afterwards, if she happens to be saved from her 1400 years lasting journey, but even so, longlivness is indeed a curse.

they didn't, most probably from internet, nonetheless commendable job because many of the anime fans want these type of information.
Hmmm I dunno what would be the next step but I know they are stepping in the right direction in solving the issue. The new character and Nasa himself are smart and they might possibly solve the issue. But idk, I'm not familiar with the author's writing style.
