| Awesome twist. 8/10. I love when horror has realistic aspects to explain the insanity of a character or concept. A mother who believes has lost her child who's gone missing until he abruptly comes back- except the reality is that she strangled her child to death when he angrily revealed that he loves his "new mommy" just as her husband does (the woman who her husband is cheating with) after she slapped him for demanding hamburger and throwing his food away. From her genuine depression in believing her child is missing, to the relief of having him back albeit a delusion of her own mind where she then believes he's an imposter as he acts distant, with amnesia and throws angry tantrums when in actuality she's acting out those tantrums and biting her husband's ear off in the process, all while he's attempting to be calm and care for her in the beginning. Until he's fed up and secretly leaves to his mistress again. The composition of her digging out her son's corpse with the switch transition to her strangling him to death was awesome. To later the husband revealing his experience to his mistress of her madness and her knocking their door open claiming her delusion isn't Michio while she carries his real corpse to them, even though she's conscious of killing him. A simple insanely deranged but great and well exucted horror. Loved it. |
