I have to admit, Reimi is a really hard worker as a healer and also a household maid in this series.

She's like an inspirational character who puts work into everything she does. Got to see more of her past too. Her solo maid performance was quite charming imo.

Very good Reimi-centric episode. She's the most interesting character besides Kana.

I loved her performance.

Lots of drama with Aoi. Well, I'm glad she came back after all.

Reimi's life as a Healer Girl, and her assistant maid Aoi whom's finally made her formal introduction. No doubt that Reimi comes from a family of rich people with her parents being well-renowned musical artists working overseas.

Hibiki's high respect and Kana's small child energy of praises, haha, secrets are hard to hide between friends, not just balancing the housework. To think that Ria brought Hibiki in for her cooking, Reimi wants to do the same, and tries her best to give Aoi space to treasure her delicate fingers from playing the piano.

Aoi has a secret: Jonathan Kurtz, the pianist whom adores Aoi, and the offer/referral to go overseas to study abroad and play piano, is sorely turned down because of Reimi, and NGL, it went from happy to complete depression in 30 seconds to immediately kick a close friend out of the household. It's already hard for Reimi to have her parents not celebrate her birthday physically, and Aoi is the only family she had to turn down the dream for a minor.

A dinner party musical for Aoi by Reimi's efforts (though it's obvious that Hibiki and Kana helped her out), and this only Reimi can help change Aoi's stubborn behaviour in the same way that she has friends in the healer job as support. The imagery was pretty apt too to log both girls' 6 years worth of friendship before the break to heal time.

Losing each other is pretty painful in the search of dreams, and Reimi can be a lovable tsundere at times.

An episode focused on Reimi and Aoi, pretty standard episode honestly.

All this drama about her leaving only for her to come back in the post credits scene...

Still an ok episode nonetheless, I actually liked Aoi's character.

I was actually expecting a promise to be made between the two for when the time comes for them to be reunited in the future; to have a sad but hopeful encounter in the near future!

However, they didn't bother with that route and went for another one. While I am kinda disappointed (only at that point) it is still a welcome ending for me.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Great episode! Aoi-san the MEIDO IN HEAVEN (IRIE REFERENCE xD). Seems Hibiki and Kana really like her and want her to work for them! She also plays the piano. Reimi found that Aoi and a famous pianist-Jonathan Kurtz have been frequently exchanging letters with each other. Seems she turned down his request for her to be taught piano by him. To be honest though, I'm quite annoyed at how Reimi just looked at her letters like that, without permission!
She also fired her so that she could go to that pianist school.
Aoi talks to Kana and Hibiki about what happened and she seems worried for Reimi.
Reimi's singing about how she can handle the food and housework herself was nice.
Aoi eventually agrees to go and the song that both she and Reimi sings is beautiful!

Looking forward to the next episode!

Reimi is best girl so any reimi themed ep is going to be one of my fave episodes.

This was a brilliant ep today. Aoi reminds me a lot of Hayasaka from Kaguya. Always putting herself last in favour of her master. She really deserves to be happy and I’m glad it all worked out in the end with kurtz moving to Tokyo so she can fulfil her dream while also being close to reimi.

Loved the episode.

Next episode looks dramatic, I think something will go wrong. Theory time: I think the girls will help at a surgery like last time but the old lady will die but not for the girls fault. This will shock Kana and sensei will console her.

Aoi is such a supportive character. While a part of it is definitely coz of the V.A., she reminded me a lot of Hayasaka. Would have been more impactful if she actually went abroad but all's well that ends well, I suppose.

I loved this episode, it felt super short because of how engaged I was, Aoi is an angel willing to forget her dreams to help Reimi but Reimi loves her just as much as to know to let her leave, it undermines a little bit how they got to be together in the end but it also quite nice too, Reimi needs Aoi, she is basically more of a family to her than her own parents and Aoi knew what Reimi did that night was thanks to her friends.

It was nice to see an episode that was about reimi and the maid aoi...she's a good character too! lol the fact that she was so bad at doing housework and that random performance she gave. One of my favorite episodes of healer girl so far

This was a pretty emotional episode. Had my manly tears rolling down.
Reimi really grew on me due to all the stuff that she always noticed when she did something. And her relationship with Aoi is pretty well-done as well.

I admit the ending was quite disappointing, but if that was it takes to have a happy ending, then I'll take it. I have enough of the big sad

I wasted all my time in rewatching to the point of my rewatch total is higher than my overall anime total lmao

Reimi and Aoi-san have been together for such a long time, its quite the heart-breaking separation between sisters almost. They're both quite tsundere in a sense too (with Reimi being a clear 'typical' tsundere)

Overall, loved this Reimi-centric episode, a lot of amazing progress... it was a beautiful ride ue

Ever since the previous festival disaster episode i kinda have a big worry what'll happen toward this episode? Turns out it's just normal, normal drama, i expect something more, and they play some musical scene about it. Then the way they reverse it back to being normal again in the end without giving enough time to hit the feels. Man, is that all? How bland honestly, and one episode about her background isn't really enough and feels like a mere filler. Because the next kinda be back to their usual healing medical treatment. Hope it can cure out what a letdown i've got this past two latest episode. Let's see....

Best episode so far.

Up until this episode I didn't really have much to say about this anime, just watching it out of seasonal habit.

It may be my personal soft spot for maid/butler characters but I cried like a lil baby mf.

The self sacrifice and love towards their ojousama/obocchama is what really gets me to tears the most.

When Reimi trys to do the house chores on her own, realizes how to a maids work truly is while also showing care for Aoi and her hands as she is an aspiring pianist.

The stack of letters from the music school symbolizing Aoi's silently locked away dreams of piano.

When Aoi asks the two girls if Reimi is eating properly, I starting losing my cool.

Aoi being the only one to support Reimi's dream of becoming a healer.

Aoi being the only one by her side on her birthday.

During Reimi's "Farewell song" performance, the film reel flashback moment depicts the two's memories of their six years together.

Healer Girls ep8 did a perfect job on the delivery.

Honestly caught me off guard.

Feels like it tried to be more emotional than it actually came off as especially with making everything go back to how it was in the end. Though not entirely same since it's clear there will be a parting again some time. Just eh....that said it was kind of a sweet story.

What a great episode, which greatly damaged my tear ducts too. While the post credit scene definitely made the episode less emotional overall, it does not invalidate the development that Aoi and Reimi got.

I assume a little bit of time did pass before Aoi went back, and I am honestly glad we got a happy ending, I just think it would have been even better if Aoi returned on like a latter episode, though I guess that can be difficult to fit in unless we got another Reimi episode, but that's impossible with the amount of episodes remaining. So this decision to put it in the after credits was good enough. Ugh, I wish there was more episodes, give me more.

You spend an entire episode about the Maid leaving only for her to return...who writes this non-sense? It's awful.

It doesn't help that Reimi is the most uninteresting and unenjoyable character in this anime. She didn't even cook that food.

God this anime had hopes but recently its just been trash lately.

I'm fine with the after credit scene... but at least wait a few episodes before bringing Aoi back, all that emotional turmoil just to scrap it that quickly feels a bit wasted. This show has a habit of downplaying or ending a tad anticlimactic.

I wish I had a cute maid too, must be so nice to have one.

___ ___ ___

Kana almost had the maid wear cat ears, that would have been too awesome.

LOL @ the little Kanas saying "Nakama" to Reimi cause she's a bad cook as well.

Honestly... I donno how Reimi got all those bandaids on her fingers when all she did was laundry, vacuuming and wiping windows... there's literally no cutting involved...

___ ___ ___

Reimi "fired" Aoi cause she wanted Aoi to be free and pursue her dream.

Aoi wanted to support Reimi til she became an official "Healer" so she rejects loads of "recommendations" to go to the US.

I can understand both side's feelings, but Aoi forgot that Reimi isn't really alone anymore, she's got Friends and (Mistress) that spend time and helps her out now.

The Duo was literally like Mother and Daughter relationship, since Reimi's actual parents are oversea at all time and practically never returns home to visit her daughter... most they did is video calls... While Aoi literally spend years of time with Reimi since Reimi was a little girl.

___ ___ ___

And then Aoi came back, but only cause the dude she was going to learn from apparently got a job in Tokyo, Japan... so Aoi got dragged back from the US while at it. However since Aoi spend loads of money to go live in the US... she apparently also had to spend money getting back to Japan and thus decide to go back working as Reimi's maid again.

(some ppls thinks the episode meant nothing, but Aoi only came back cause of her "teacher", if the "teacher" never got a job in Tokyo, that meant Aoi would have never came back til years later, Aoi would then become what Reimi's parents are, staying oversea and rarely go back to Japan)

errr... just imagine there was a time skip or something between the time when Aoi left and when she returned, lol

I can't believe in this single episode made me care about the relationship between the two and made me cry during the singing parts.

It's not forced drama because it is a real problem people have.
To chase your dreams means the sacrifice or cost of something else.

I'm glad it was resolved well.

Until that post-credit scene just ruined the whole thing. Still glad though the maid got independence.

I love how in every opening, they show which character will be focused on in today's episode.

Oh man, Reimi didn't have to phrase it like that...

Seems like Reimi had a pretty neglected childhood. Aoi and Reimi had a pretty strong bond since way back.

Well doesn't seem like she's leaving anytime soon. Since the Professor is in Tokyo, shouldn't she be doing what she has already been doing? Like she can take care of all the housework for the day then she can go to Tokyo by train or smth, take her lessons, and then come home in the evening/night.

Honestly would have been better if she didn't come back
