| Volume 2, Chapter 20: This is the last chapter of the second volume, and I have to say this volume is a downgrade from the first. This volume is a series of different adventures, which isn't necessarily bad, but that means there is no larger payoff as a volume as a whole. The fight against the dragon was pretty underwhelming and was a situation where he just encountered an enemy in wild that was too tough. I like how the story tries to highlight the second and third order effects that the heroes have in the world and how their seeming altruism doesn't necessarily produce the results they may want. It's important to note that the villagers shown so far did what they could to profit from the heroes' actions and either disregarded or ignored the dangers they already knew. |
