Those edgy, shock factor scenes are anime only and in manga and in LN they are not so prolonged and over the top.
Judging by director's record he likes to abuse children on screen.

thanks so the opening scenes for the 1st and 5th episode are anime only good I don't like dark anime goblin slayer and black lagoon is about as dark of an anime/LN I can handle

Good, they make the show better. Although I doubt this is true, the LN probably contains the same scenes.

the manga or light novel kinda fast pace with really serious controversy.

it supposed to be a blood bath in this arc (episode 5) n only the son survive then suffer mental problem, that become a foundataion for the future arc.

in here they turn it into ROMCOM situation, urghh disgusting instant close it.

trash adaptation.

thank for the post. so the light novel far darker? I don't mine violence (although I love isekai i dislike MC not willing to kill including my favorites like Death march to a parallel where Satou doesn't even kill demon lord worshippers that summon demons to randomly attack people) but the open of the 1st and 5th episode I don't care for is the more rape or near rape scenes I may fine something

yes, its more darker, in web novel, MC is merciless, killing is always the 1st priority except to get evidence or clue. he didn't even care if the country collapse because of his stupid action.

MC personality is
- ignorant
- stupid
- always choose the short answer
- never think ahead

its the same like playing game with cheat n rampaging everything n no cares bout anything else.

Please note I don't read light novels if it's an isekai theme sometimes I need a background picture first, and a personality description of the characters. unless it's a romcom I read in its entirety (JP).

and in the anime I like it, moreover, this ard is a person who doesn't face his nature and his world, he stays relaxed by smoking.
