Can I watch Mahoutsukai Reimeiki before Grimoire of Zero?

I've heard this one was a spin-off and I was thinking to watch while it's releasing but if there are a lot of spoilers to the main story then it's not worth it, so is it spoiler safe to watch?

It takes place few years after and old characters still make their presence known, but their roles are supporting.
You can watch it without losing much, but I recommend to watch Grimoire first because worldbuilding.

I mean, if there was major spoilers dont you think there would be like a connection when you go on the mal pages. I'm assuming this is taking place 10 years after grimoire as I never read or watched it and am solely basing it on the fact that a character from zero reacted when someone said an event happened. If you're afraid of major spoilers a simple answer would be to just watch or read zero if you're so scared if getting it spoiled then watch or read this

Shouldn't it marked as a spin-off on the mal page? If I wouldn't have delved deeper, I would've just thought all is a convenient coincidence to have similar style, similar names and world

I've just watched grimoire of zero, and I think it's safe to say you can watch this without watching it, but it'll be much better if you've seen grimoire of zero

I recommend watching Grimoire of Zero while waiting for new episode to get some context on the GoZ world and characters. Mahoutsukai Reimeiki is a spin-off set in the future after all. Like Railgun and Accelerator, you can watch it without watching the main series first but you can get to know the world and characters from the main series.

The first series was way better than this one, so far...so it might be a little disappointing if you watch it and then start watching this...
