I think just scrap S2. S1 was a perfect adaptation for the first two arcs.

So redo the second season, based on how many chapters they choose to adapt for a second season(and how many episodes) I could see the show being 4 seasons if redone.

However this is likely never gonna happen๐Ÿ˜”

I'm not sure about this. They certainly need to redo the story if they want to make a movie (/maybe another season) in the goldy pond arc. And it will be very disconnected from season 2.
But that doesn't eliminate the possibility either. Like Blue Exorcist, which in its 1st season immediately gave a different ending from the original(manga), which had not yet ended, and then they appear announcing a 2nd season after many years, which the story redo from the middle of the first season.
But i also think if the original story of Promised Neverland was animated, it would be very cool indeed.

They could do goldy pond as a movie but they’d have to change a lot of things for it to make sense and fit in with what was already established in the anime. The changes made to season 2 and the way it ended make it virtually impossible to add in the skipped parts of the manga AND have it be accurate to the manga. They’d be better off just redoing the whole thing and doing a new series as opposed to a movie. Which is a shame since season 1 doesn’t really need a remake.

se2 sucked. Let's just get that out of the way. Absolutely sucked.
Now I haven't read the Manga, I don't know is what wasn't animated were the real gems, but what we all saw was just awful.
The plot was sloppy, the critical moments were just childish at best, most of the characters who were meant to be slick were cringe. But what I hated most was the ending; it just jumps from here to there (not spoiling but you know what I mean)
that being said, Se1 was pretty good.

I read the manga, the anime is off the tracks honestly.
The ending is not the same as manga and how it went has absolutely nothing to do with the manga.
Even yuugo is not included in the anime like come on bro...

There are like many arcs which are left out such as Goldy pond arc (best arc with many new characters).

I felt a lot better after reading the manga, season 2 is just shit.
yes.

The problem isn't that they just skipped the arc, they basically made it so that it's events didn't even happen.
Moments like them reuniting with Norman are completely different in the manga, and others like attacking the Demon Village and Emma stopping Norman don't even happen.
It basically branches off into a different story and ending, to the point where they would have to just completely redo it in order for anything to make sense.

Well, TPN has lost its audience after s2 so a movie ain't worth it.

They just need the brotherhood treatment for season 2 honestly. Season one was near perfect and a good second season would have made the whole series amazing.

True, you cannot adapt 90% of the missing story into a 90 minute movie. They'd have to make like 4-5 movies like Evangelion to faithfully adapt the manga.

I think if they do that, they would have to make up some invented story aftermath like Emma basically thinking about the past and it shows the missing parts from the manga that didnt make it into the season2

It would be an interesting idea but there would simply not be enough time to really cover the whole entire arc. Even if you started immediately when
it would still be very rushed. Even if it had a 2 hour run time. Still...I would danger to say that I'd take that over nothing, since there were certainly scenes from that arc that I wanted to see animated...
