In this topic, I will be putting my ideas for characters for the story of "Faces of Eternity".
The Main Characters
Odin, "The Spawn of Evil"
Name: Odin
Title: "The Spawn of Evil"
Age: N/A
Odin wields a broadsword and a powerful temper. Easily angered, Odin has laid waste to empires.
Odin appeared in the village of Voi sixteen years ago, just after the defeat of Yggdrasil. Staggered and dazed, he collapsed in the town square where he was discovered by a beautiful young woman named Myra who was nine-teen years of age. She took him into her house, and treated him as if he was of her own blood. The other villagers grew cautious and weary of the strange blonde-haired boy and questioned him as to of where he came from. He sat and thought about it, but in the end he answered truthfully saying, "I... Don't remember..."
The village shaman soon realized that Odin was who he claimed to be, but also not who he claimed to be. The shaman realized that Odin was Yggdrasil in Human Form! But the shaman learned that Odin did not know he was Yggdrasil. He was inflicted with a severe case of amnesia, and would never be able to remember who he was.
Yet, the shaman took this news to Myra, Odin's care-taker. He spoke to her in private and she took the news as if it did not matter. She smiled softly and informed the shaman that she was with child. The shaman was shocked, but he was happy for Myra. They took a vow to never tell anyone of Odin's true origin.
Nine months passed, and the child was born. But... It died not long after birth, devastating Myra, who soon afterward died of mental exhaustion. Odin, who did not know the child was his was more-overly concerned with Myra's death. He fell into a state of depression and soon dark thoughts began to overwhelm the boy. His soul began to become corrupt and his memories as Yggdrasil began to flow back into his mind.
Realizing he was a menace to everything around him, he packed traveling gear, a sword, a few clothes, and a pendant that belonged to Myra. On his way out of the village, he gave himself his title. "The Spawn of Evil".
He now travels the changed world in order to purify himself.
Not much is known about the Demi-God. Yggdrasil gave the planet a heart so that it may grow naturally, as if it were a living being. His power far surpasses that of any 'living' being. His power, once envoked, is said to have turned an entire continent to dust. He is over two thousand years old.
(His name is a link to his appearance.)
Secondary Characters
Vorga, "The Elder of Darkness"
Vorga is a very funny old man. He appears to be a dark and vengeful man, but he just looks that way. He wears the Robes of Ala'kah (Ala'kah was the first Elder of Darkness) and wields the Staff of the Damned. He has taken a keen interest in Odin and tells Odin that he has decided that he will travel with him. Odin disagreed to this at first, but Vorga wouldn't leave it alone. Odin's will broke and he gave in, allowing Vorga to travel with him. He has an extreme amount of knowledge, knowing nearly every plant, animal, spell, place, anything that he comes across. He offers this knowledge to Odin during their travels.
Vorga can cast terrible spells that can drive his enemies insane, cause excessive aging, control his enemies, and much much more. He may be a humorous man outisde of battle, but when the situation becomes heated, he turns into a well disciplined warrior. He is also known for his lechery, which the people of the village attributed to his old age. (They thought he was senile, but were too afraid to try and elect a new Elder. When he up and left without telling anyone, they were more relieved than shocked. A new Elder was soon appointed.)
It has been proven that he cannot age, due to his rule over Ash'lac (The Village of Darkness) of over two hundred years.
Vareena, "The Bounty Hunter"
Vareena wields a longsword handed down by Captains of the Guard for the City of Fire, Ongric.
A warrior of no remorse, Vareena has been charged with hunting down Yggdrasil and killing him. She poses constant problems for Odin, knowing that he is Yggdrasil. She will challenge him to a duel to the death and will not take no for an answer.
After being defeated by Odin three times, she questions the order to kill him, but does so while her successor is nearby. He reports her to the council and she is removed from office. Now knowing that the Council of Ongric only wishes Yggdrasil dead out of fear, she pleads for Odin's forgiveness. Odin thinking that, if he could change so drastically from the God of Death to a Human and start anew, then so it would be possible for her to do as well. He accepts her forgiveness and offers for her to join him in his quest for redemption.
With gleeful tears in her eyes, she accepted his offer and now travels with Odin. She is extraordinarily faithful and loyal to him as if she were a bodyguard.
She seems to have feelings for Odin.
Vido, "The Beat Master"
Vido is a free spirited man. He speaks his word and he loves to do so through music. He accidentally speaks in rhymes on occasion. Vido is not to be taken lightly as he is a master of the Wind element. He refers to the wind for everything. He thinks of life as the wind, as life flows like the wind. Erratic and full of spontaneity.
He loves to use his Wind abilities as a basis for pranks he pulls on everyone and everything.
Side Characters
Vorlic, "The Herald of Death"
A servant of some higher being, Vorlic always appears before a great disaster and was widely associated with Yggdrasil, as he would always appear before Yggdrasil would attack something.
He has appeared once again, foreshadowing something dark and sinister.

If you rearrange the letters in Arthas Menethil, not only do you get Matthias Lehner, you also get Trash In A Helmet
I'll focus on making the leader for each group, then making the members of the group.
How many members do you think should be in each group? I could see the Order of the Black Knights as being an exclusive elite squad comprised of only four to ten members, but the Undead Group could vary greatly.

no i believe they both should have high members, the black knights are like normal knights only evil
i think the power for each group should be
black knights - medium to elite skills , 5000-10,000 (not increasing currently) leader - unknown - weapons used , variety, everything but staffs and spells
undead low-medium skills - 100,000 - 395,000 soldiers (increasing)and 500-1000 elites - the leader is the lich king- weapons used maces, daggers, shortswords, knives, staffs, sticks, torches and spells
elites have spellbooks and cast spells
