Nope it's pretty generic imo. Every character just exists to be awed by the mc.

i heard that manga did far better job, some are saying they skipped so many things from manga, and yeah you can feel it, the anime is so rushed. Tbh I don't mind overpowered MC but you can take TENSURA and THE IRREGULAR AT MAGIC HIGH SCHOOL, THE MISFIT OF DEMON KING ACADEMY, they all have OP MC but those doesn't feel so generic.

Well it's not that bad but it's story runs really fast. It is not really bad but there are many things that bother me in this anime there is no root to this story and I will only like to give this 7 out of 10 because I have also read it's manga

Mind you but i read the manga for this but this isnt generic. Its just utter trash.

The guy named mathias is op but has 0 charisma and 0 in terms of being badass or good in any way.

What made it clear was when he blushed after looking at a single girl. Your supposed to be some reincarnated hero who lived more than our grandma and you blush after seeing a single girl. What kind of shit trope that is.

So many plot holes and extremely fast paced. Im talking about manga and anime has even faster pacing with so many plot holes.

If you want a good anime with op mc with very high charisma and chad energy i highly suggest "misift of demon king academy". Its a very good and fun series to watch with a decent harem with good personalities and amazing.

Saying this anime is average should be a sin

I want to warn you that the manga also is very bad. I mean the anime is worse but doesnt mean the manga is good or even average.

The manga is also very bad with plot holes and garbage story.

Dont compare this shit to tensura,irregular and misfit. Those are well written stories.

Im saying this after reading those series too.

This anime is really terrible. The world is insanely uninteresting, and the MC is OP from the beginning but they don’t specify what he can do so they can just make up stuff as they go along.

Someone’s spying? I stopped their spell AND attacked them AND got their location. I know a spell that does that.

Need to go somewhere far away to finish off the spy? Well there’s this cool dragon who knows I reincarnated and can give us a ride. Oh no his wing is damaged! Good thing I know healing magic.

Every single conflict so far has been resolved this way, and every problem is fixed just as easily. I wouldn’t recommend this show to anyone, except if you’re just looking for a self insert OP main character who solves everything instantly and gets the girl(s).

Shield Hero ain't no masterpiece but what an insult to even put it in the same sentence as Shield Hero. This is like Smartphone Isekai or Isekai Cheat Magician level of Isekai.

let me help you to convince other to watch this anime
it's isekai anime same genre as Re:Zero, and people like re:zero a lot.
it;s a harem anime same genres Dates a Live, and guess what? date a live have huge fandom bc how great it's.
but don't make your expectation too high from this anime. after all it's have lot of plot hole likes Ousama Ranking.
because plot and character development isn't the main standpoint, this is one show where you just sit and relax likes Yuru Camp. and guess what? Yuru Camp is great anime too.
this show have lot of similiarity with great anime and thus makes this show great. go try it :D

I finished it yesterday on May 19th. I was unsure of how much I disliked it, 4/10 (boring) & 3/10 (annoying). Went with 3/10, I didn't even get fan service to compensate for the boring plot.
