Why do you think it's underrated? All the people I've spoken to find it genuinely funny and it was quite popular when it came out.

The rating on MAL is a huge thing about why I'm saying this. Apparently there's also huge variance for ratings for this show in particular. Also, not many people know about this anime tbh. I am only 8 episodes in currently, but obviously I don't expect it to get any worse or anything to change? Because the story is pretty laid out already, but it's easily the best fan service show to date tbh.

This is a 10/10 anime in terms of ecchi genre. The concept is genius.

Not much hate on the show as much as people hated that it was almost available for quite a few animehubs only to be taken of last minute. Honestly if it got canned from those much sooner it would have probably just gone the route of a hentai, but for those hubs it was still too much on the ecchi side for them to get away with. Hence the reason you would be more likely to find this on pornhub than Crunchyroll. On the initial release people rated it second highest rating of anime. So I have no idea where you got this thought it was so hated.

I see, the closest thing I seen to hate for the show is: "I hate that it didn't just go all the way and be a hentai, allot of the time there's still allot of story in between all the sexual ecchi stuff, but here the sex is literally the subject manner" and to be honest I'm one to agree. It would be nice to have one that has a fully functional on going story and doing different things. I rarely can say: I liked that hentai protagonist characters personality. Allot of the time it's just the same character getting reused.

Bruh like have you seen Kill La Kill?
That is 10/10 in terms of ecchi, this show is just trying to be vulgar a lot to catch some laughs.

I didn’t find it all that bad, but it’s definitely not a masterpiece and below average in my opinion.

The only reason the rating is so low was because it was once over 9.0 and FMAB stans and crying admins did everything they could to drop it as much as they could

I vaguely knew about the controversy in Winter 2020, but this is the first time I've ever actually watched the show.

I thought it was funny. Crim-kun was my favorite character.

I found this anime last week and I had to rewatch it 3 times cause it was too good and hilarious. Just yesterday, I heard Funimation dubbed it, I'm not surprised they pulled a dick move and removed it and shit.

This show's world building and character writing is absurdly good that it actually makes me upset.

If you delete literally all the ecchi aspects of it, and it ends up being like 2 minute long per episode... the world building alone should be rated a 6 or 7 which is insane...

I honestly think people who rated it a 1 or either being intentionally obtuse and hating on it...
or they just don't understand what a well written show is actually like.
