but still this show still suffers from poor character development. the show actually tells why the town is cursed unlike final destination where the deaths are straight up illogical and unreal. story was good but deserved "another" season, in my opinion. i wanna see adult misaki and adult koichi

but by no means this is better than final destination or worse both are equally bad.

7.5/10 but mal doesnt allow decimals i give it an 8/10

If I may ask, what is the second book about? The story seems pretty complete in the anime. Does it follow an entirely different class dealing with the curse?

Another 2001 novel was realised this year. It's getting translation next year in march and also authoer said that he would like to see it anime adapted. I would say there is 95% chance for another season 2 but it will take few years.

I haven't read it and aren't sure, but I'm confident that it's not the same characters, I believe it takes place in 2001 (hence the name another 2001), and that misaki may show up briefly? all of this is just me trynna remember what I've seen on reddit, the another subreddit is probably the best place to find out more

i haven't read it yet, but here is the official description:

"It has been three years since the calamity of 1998 that claimed the lives of many students in Yomiyama North Middle's class 3-3. After being placed into the cursed class, Sou Hiratsuka will have to work alongside class of 1998 survivor Mei Misaki in order to avert a new disaster. But as mysterious accidents and deaths pile up despite their countermeasures, the pair will be forced to reckon with Yomiyama North's deepest mysteries..."

Ngl, as cringy as it may have been some times, I actually really enjoyed this anime. Maybe it was the mystery of “who’s the dead one among us” that did it for me.
