| Couldn't you just have put 2 coins on the scale at a time as well? I mean if its even, then you know it isn't either of those coins, and if the scale shows that one of them is lighter, then you know you have the fake coin. Repeat putting 2 coins on the scale( 1 on each side) at a time until you get the fake coin to make the scale unbalanced. The other way works too, and I know I'm like 4 years late to this thread! |
