ohhh no okay ur PTSD is completely warranted. I want to say they'll do a good job but even Cloverworks had a pretty good track record and look at how they butchered my boy but hopefully orange will pull through

Wait the final season? I do feel like the second season felt like an ending but how did it escalated that quickly? and are they going to skip a lot of details from the manga ? because I haven't read it

In my opinion they'll likely divide it into 2 parts, similarly to Shingeki's final season, putting that "Final Season" subtitle is a marketing thing to milk what's left of a successful show as much as possible. Netflix has also been doing this 2-part thing with some of their other shows. Its like a trend nowadays.

Back in July a leak from the magazine where Beastars' manga was being published confirmed that 3 of the new main characters from this arc will get animated, and so it'd be impossible to properly animate their scenes in just less than 12 episodes unless they pull a TPN S2 thing (Orange cares about quality). But given that apparently Netflix is the one who commissioned this final season (the previous two were first broadcasted on Japanese TV), I don't think they'd put a lot of money to commission a rushed season like TPN.

So yeah, in my opinion it'll either be a 2-part season, a short season with 40-minutes long for each episode (unlikely), or a 24-episode season (also unlikely since most Netflix Originals don't usually get that many episodes for a single season).
