oh yeah she's great, barely misses my favorite characters list. also I think it's hilarious that the anime writers in adapting the story changed things so she didn't have a relationship with that one boy. in doing so, either purposefully or accidentally they made her come across as like a gay girl that hasn't realized it yet. like, not only does she not have a relationship with that boy, but she seems to mostly find him irritating. there is basically no evidence she has any interest in him, and she has multiple borderline romantic scenes with Reina.

not saying that that's canon or anything, but it's a potential reading of it that was totally added in adaptation by KyoAni, for who knows what reason. could be something cynical like they thought yuri-baiting would sell the series better, or someone on the staff could be queer.

but I'm definitely not imagining things, and far from the only person to see this.

They went hetero in the third movie tho and it did seem a bit out of place. Now I don't hate the guy but it would be fine if they left him out of s3 if it ever gets one cuz the hetero romance here feels out of place after all the baiting kyoani has done.
