Dang! Gigantis got a lot references from other anime/manga.

However, I do think these are just authors' strategies to gain initial public attention and they really trust the plot and artwork to attract people to become fan of the manga, that's why they try to make hype in the beginning of every chapter(this gives them and us feels lol).

yes and one thing, i heard this manga is inspired from movie 'The Thing'. lets see how far this goes...
