Can this be called an underrated idol anime?

In compared to other idol giants like lovelive and idolmaster, I found its story really nice and proportional, furthermore it's music is really unique and even it's cgi is not bad. What I think is that it is not getting the attention it deserves and not many people are talking about it.

For the international market, music anime and idol anime are still underwatched and underrated because anime has always been associated with action, mecha, or fantasy which is full of plot twists on the abroad.

Dunno. You're right,compared to other idol anime,it's slightly better. But other than a very cute art,the story is not something outstanding or anything like that. 6-7 should be a decent score.

Idol anime rarely goes above 8. It also doesn’t help that the story and characters are pretty generic. The only redeeming factor is the OP and ED. Looks like their budget went there because so far their other songs are pretty meh IMO. Even 22/7 and idoly pride songs are more consistent in terms of quality and catchiness.

Truth is absolute but human perception of truth is always relative.

Personally, I enjoy it quite a bit. While insert songs are pretty average and I can't say that the story is something unique, this anime hits the spot for me. I gave a try to "Idoly Pride" which was mentioned here numerous times positively and... I guess I just have to accept that I watch idol series in a wrong way - among those few that I watched, it was either popular and I didn't like one, or the other way that those which I liked were either ignored or disliked by majority (normal thing but really surprising to be that polar in this genre for me).

Anyway, it's a type of idol anime I appreciate. Characters, their backgrounds, interactions, visuals, overall execution, soundtrack (especially opening song, ending is also enjoyable). There are some weak points but in general I find this series to be quite good.

Probably because too much competition, and frankly, better anime to watch this season. I don't think you'll have as many people tune into this as opposed to Komi-san.

Overrated I would say.
OP/ED songs and art are quite good indeed.
But story and script are really lacking.

P.S. On the other side OP&ED only feel fresh because those borrow from modern non-anime global music production approach. Kinda out of anisong 'box'. But big kudos to arranger anyway.

Considering if that you didn't watch Idoly Pride in the first place, I can understand where y'all are coming from.

But as it is, the bootleg version is pretty much the worse part of the show overall.
