| MC is cold and efficient assasin. He carried his experiences and personality to the next world. In the first episode alone he was introduced and established as world's finest assasin, unlike a certain detective, that is already dead. 2nd episode established why he is overpowered. If you want an example of an actual awful, generic and trash isekai, Spirit Chronicles is a good (bad?) example. If you compare those those two, The world's best assassin looks like a masterpiece. |

| There's a lot to love about this anime: the badass MC, people being chosen for reincarnation because they are/were competent and not just some random hikki-neet self insert, great art, banger op, good fight scenes There's also a lot to hate: the rest of the cast is beyond generic, the dialog is absolutely dreadful, the "he's evil but actually for a good cause and only assassinates those more evil" cop-out, the mother is unbearably annoying, sometimes MC's monologues and random "villains" are overly edgy. Overall, it had a lot of potential to be around 8/10 isekai but author's inability to write dialogue or anything other than either an edgy or a cheerleader character is what brings it down to mediocrity. So far I'd say 5/10. |
| It's probably hurt a little by coming out at the same time as Mushuko Tensei which has much more indepth writing and character development, but even with it's completely generic Plot it shares quite a bit with MT in that they explain the pre reincarnation properly which in turn can explain the OP when he does get to the new world, the fact he starts as a baby is also good. The lack of flaws in his character do give it some negative points but it's quite enjoyable, would put this at the same level as like Slime or Overload when it comes to Isekais atleast thus far. |
| I mean, for what it is (isekai harem) is does it's job quite well. The animation and soundtrack is good and consistent. Fight scenes are dynamic. The fanservice (Tart giga melons, the naked groping in the training scenes) compared with many other shows is so far edible, passable, at least to me. Is kinda novel Mc is manipulatively creating a sense of dependence in his haremettes intentionally, instead of the classic "fall for bland guy cuz he was NICE to me once", and "never care about the other girls". It kinda creates an neat concept of why there some girls obssessively crushing on the same guy, he broke them to be that way. Is surely dark and immoral IRL (well, DUH), but this is exactly the anti-villain show I subscribed for. Mc was, and is, not a nice, virtuous person. MC is not a dense dumbass or a degenerated creep, neither a NEET chuuni, so you can root for him, instead of wishing any villains just kill a waste of space OP dude already. He does not drag the show quality down, he actually the most enjoyable thing in the work so far. Even if he is indeed borned with f*ckloads of mana reserves and 5 powerful rare passive skills, he still had to (re)train for more than just one single episode in many things, which is far less cheap than being a nuclear swiss knife best in the verse in all by episode 1 end. Like a lot of (bad) shows around there. He also applied some of RL tech knowledge in that late medieval era, like creating pans with ebulition points, to make better food. You rarely see this around, as usually it seems even the authors forgets it's a isekai after a few chapters. I concede, this worldbuilding (late medieval with lolmagic fighters, some choosen one yuusha and demon king army later on) is not getting any originality medal, and that bimbo mother character is actually unrealistic terrible. Yes, people are in their right to hate it on, if they just hate isekai (or OP MC with harem trope) overall. But there are far worse shows to hate in this season (and the previous ones, as well), and this one has nearly no hypetards exagerating it's source material qualities around. |

Any other isekai trash at least put minimal effort, that would at least vaguely discern them from other generic Isekai trash, but not Spirit Chronicles. It doesn't even pretend to try It is that kind of an anine, that should fall into an abyss of irrelevancy and be forgotten. And I'm still baffled, that it has a score above 6.0. |

| As of the moment, I wouldn't call this show "Good" just yet but imo it is still pretty decent and entertaining to watch (even tho I do find it generic sometimes). I just don't get why someone would praise it for good animation since imo, it just looked average with bright colors. As for the storyline I can't say that much and nothing really stands out. The mystery behind who the brave/hero is ain't that much intriguing since it's pretty obvious in the OP sequence (which is the only thing I really liked abt this isekai) who it might be. |

| Having an mc who was a jaded assassin in his previous life already made this way better than your typical isekai. It's another power fantasy, but it's one that makes more sense because this guy was also quite overpowered in his previous life. That made it so much cooler during his fights rather than if he was simply your typical teenager previously. I love that aspect of the show... but everything else is kind of shit |
