Watch it in English Dub

I watched the whole thing through in Dub then looked at clips in subs and felt like the dub are superior as the character feels so much more likable and dialogues just gave them more sass which built up the partner cop chemistry way more.

I'd say the same thing with black lagoon where the characters are just much more intriguing and enjoyable in English due to the use of more informal and rude language which granted them more personality.

I'm surprised this show got such low rating. Perhaps the story is rushed and weak at times, which I agree. But I finished the whole thing in one go because I just wanted to see more of the cast since they were so enjoyable in Dub.

I always think that a good cast can carry a mediocre story. But a good story can't carry a mediocre cast. When you lose interest in the characters, you just don't care about what's going to happen to them and drops the anime. Which I think it applies here, since the dub cast are so much more fun and lovable.
