A battle plotted within your own group is the most dangerous not to mention if there is an insider. It would have been a lot easier if there weren't any betrayal against Kurou but there's a reason in everything. But overall, the fights are quite entertaining and it's good that Kagetoki choose not to kill Kurou when he had the chance :)

Wow, the ending was a total cliffhanger! Why the hell don't they just make a full tv series out of this??? I also agree that I like Nozomi way better than Akane since she actually knows how to fight and not just stand around doing nothing. They've gotta at least make more specials with the way they ended this...

These OVA's are pretty much just hype material for the game and maybe a bit of fanservice to see it animated in some form.
This is sadly true for a lot of other adaptations be it from LN/Manga or Game since anime only fans are often screwed wth the incomplete story etc. >_>

Its not bad when you see it like this, I'm actually pretty excited
for the Harukanaru toki no naka de 3 vita port which comes out february 23 next year in japan
which will be fully voiced, redrawn CG's and a new route with Fujiwara no Yasuhira since he's popular or something.
Even if this was nothing more than a tease/spoiler collection I am motivated to find out more with the game!

Edit: I finished watching the second ova after going through all route in the main game except Hakuryuu, Shirogane and a few izayoiki end.
Wow the spoilers are real... sigh so glad I waited if I had known that about Kagetoki and other little details I'd be less into it
and well conclusion remains the same these ova only nice for fanservice... no doubt anime only watcher will be confused.
Parts of the first ova are also so inconsistent from the game...

Man it really disappointed me that this never got a full series, even just 12 episodes. It was so much interesting than the first and second game adaptations. If we got a full 24 episodes to flesh out the war conflict and properly go through every character then it would have been amazing. Nozomi is such a breath of fresh hair compared to the absolute nothingness that Akane and Karin were. She even gets to use a sword!

Well, at least we got these two tv movies, better than nothing

Sadly, the voice actor for Nozomi passed away on June 9, 2011 which is like a little over a year since this episode aired. I did notice that her voice sounded kind of different on the Nozomi Arc as if she sounded more tired, not sure if due to illness or as part of playing the role. Probably one of the reasons why there was no additional episodes.
