Unpopular opinion: I hate Leona

Well ok I can see she has a good heart, has priorities in the right place and is a strong person (I mean the character). She is somehow suited for being a leader.

But sometimes she doesn't look like a princess. And her character has flaws. While I appreciate it story-wise because it makes the person more believable instead of a bland-stereotypical one, I think she's too annoying

She's really blunt to the point it's ridiculous, when she gets mad, but even when she's not she has often something to say that wasn't really needed. She also likes to stick her noses where it doesn't belong, like in love affairs, and even influencing them (see Pop).

She escaped the castle (is that a reference to dq4 Alena?) of course ignoring her princess duties, to go around with Dai and have a good time, but despite Pop is Dai's friend, the first thing she does is talking shit about him about how he's not reliable?

"Maam, you said you are too weak? You are right, you suck." Even though if Maam confronted her in battle, she would most likely kick her ass? (and I'm talking about the pre-martial artist version...)

Not to mention when she met Dai himself. "you are the hero? buwhahhahaha" ...what?

And, anime-only viewers, the examples are not finished, you will see other little examples in the future (unless they decide to cut dialogues, but at least for the ones i remember it's unlikely)

For some reason it seems many people like her, but I dont know how it's possible; she's really irritating. Am I the only one that feels like that?

When Fraizard was killing her... I was rooting for him eh.

I don't hate the Princess, but she isn't my favorite. To me, she's just a supporting character that does her best to help. Honestly, I thought her role would be the supporter of the group. Like support spells for boosting power or speed.

Yeah, she was a bit annoying, but she improved in time and became a better person. The whole laughing at Dai was a bit annoying, but anyone would if they saw him at first.

As for her fighting Maam, I don't see how they could either have any real combat experience, as Mama's only weapon was the gun. So, I don't know how the two would even battle.

For me, I find Poop, Crocodine, and Chiu a bit more annoying than her.

I'm not trying to say you're right or wrong on the matter. If you don't like her, that's cool, but I don't think it's that big of a deal with how the show has been playing out.

Yeah, I also understand her role in Dragon Quest. However, I did not like her much. I preferred Maam, but I guess it is because she can fight, while Leona uses heal and leadership skills. Those are good qualities though.
