| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hope to see the next season! As usual with Chinese anime it's not felt like there was any ending, no closure at all. I really dislike this their feature( But more reason to wait for the continuation! I enjoyed the visuals a lot. For me it's the most beautiful anime I've ever seen, the way the chars were presented is smth unique! So real, so pretty! |
| I came into the season with low expectations but this series really opened my eyes. The story was really engaging and had a subtle mysterious adventure atmosphere that started a bit vague but didn't stale even as the season drew a close; The characters were really expansive and had different traits many of the key characters in the series had a lot of coverage in terms of development including side characters like the Xu grandma (who went from trying to marry Xu daughter into Cheng's family but then did a full 180 considering Xu's feelings for once - probably after what happened to the Xu father and the mysterious appearance of a savior) The art and animation was a bonus for me; The visuals were really detailed you could zoom in and see pores, wrinkles and even individual strands of hair movement. I enjoyed how highly detailed the male character designs were but I wished some of the young female characters didn't have the skin glow/blur because it kind of ruins the character details. The ending was on another level; I had suspicions about elder Feng being involved in the Shen family disaster. However, I think I had a misconception of her being on the antagonist side - it's too early to distinguish with so little closure but the ending was satisfactory to say the least. |
