----------------------------------------
The final chapter was both sad and disturbing to say the least. Saddened by the strained relationship with her brother, the younger sister hooks up with a stranger but her heart gives out and she dies before they're able to go all the way. Ironic isn't it, that what the brother did in an attempt to protect and prolong his sister's life was what ultimately led to her death.

We learn in a flashback of the older sister's funeral that the father raped her corpse because, according to him, "we have to help girls who die as virgins become adults" so that they may pass on without regrets. It's then heavily implied that the brother does the same thing to his recently deceased younger sister.

In the Chapter 1 Discussion, I questioned whether the images of the brother raping his younger sister were a dream or a repressed memory. It was not a memory but rather both a dream and a precognition.

The mangaka did a great job of portraying the overwhelming sense of loneliness that plagued all three of our characters- the younger sister, the brother, and the girlfriend- in this short series. Additionally, the contrast of the soft "dreamy" art style with the dark nature of the story created a feeling of uneasiness while still managing to pull me in.

I didn't comprehend the ending, but fortunately the post above clarified to me what the story's twist was about in the end.

It's definitely strange, but intriguing with the attachment of reincarnation, future signs and the trauma of the boy who is copying his father which is why he wanted to confirm if she died a virgin or not...
The sense of the heroine somehow knowing or feeling that is odd though, but it's another interesting experience from Kaoru Fujiwara.

I avoided it at first due to the incest tag, but after reading more of her work and becoming a fan of her unique talent, I decided read this. It may deserve a 7/10, but I'm giving it a 6/10. I think it's decent but also great in another way.
