Will we get a good season 3?

Today was officially announced that Naoko Yamada has left Kyoani. I'm aware that one person is not an indicator of the final product, but with so few of the original staff left in Kyoani, is there much hope left for them to deliver a satisfying conclusion to this series?

As much as I hate to say it, I really doubt it
There’s no reason for this movie to exist, it should be a full season 3. This being a movie was the beginning of the end.
All I really hope for is that someone translates the LNs. Yen Press has them licensed but only released volume 1 four years ago, and I don’t think any fan TLs exist either.
I didn’t think this was ever getting a season 3 even with Naoko Yamada still at KyoAni, but this move probably reduced the odds to 0.

This thread has lost all relevancy. They've literally announced a season 3 of hibike euphonium. Stop being pessimistic because a season 3 is coming. REJOICE ALL HIBIKE FANS !!!

First of all, what's with everyone acting like this is the end of kyoani just because Yamada left. Yes she's very influential and has done a great deal for kyoani and that there's a lot of staff that left the studio after the arson but this is kyoani we're talking about. The studio that treat staff like actual human beings and actively holds workshop to train new talents for the studio. Anyone who's currently watching maid dragon s2 knows that kyoani is back and is at peak form, there's no dip in quality whatsoever and I would even argue that s2 of dragon maid is even better than s1. So yes, it's a blow for kyoani now that Yamada and many other left the studio but they've got lots of young new talents to replace them, you could even say that this is the rejuvenation of the studio. Second of all, the movie was made because there's still more of the LN to adapt and hibike has done well for kyoani in the past, so it's a no brainer to adapt it into a movie. It's a shame that they can't make a s3 but it's really not that surprising considering that most of the staff are probably still preoccupied with violet evergarden and it's much easier to make a movie and it generally makes more money than releasing a new season. Finally, Yamada moving didn't move any odds since they clearly are going to release s3

Thank you for your kind intention, but I already know this. The reason I start this thread is not to question whether they will make season 3 or not, but to gauge the expectation of it. I found that the first two seasons, however differ slightly in tones, reached a level of presentation that I haven't found anywhere else. Thus, I have doubts that anyone else can do what the original team did. But perhaps I should keep an open mind and be grateful that they still intends to continue instead of outright cancelling the project.

Kyoto or any studio will not stop at the lose of one employee, I don't deny that the studio lost one of the best directors in Japan, but the KyoAni will always make or bring in other talents, in addition to Naoko Yamada her role wasn't that important in the original series except that she directed Liz to Aoi Tori, many people say that the second season of Maid Dragon will not see the light because its director died in the arson attack, but another director took it and it was even better than the first one.
However, I'm start losing hope for a hird season, because nothing has been announced about it since the first annoucement in June 2019.

It's a film between season 2 and 3. Like this:

Season 1&2: Kumiko's 1st year

Chikai no Finale & Liz to Aoi Tori films: Kumiko's 2nd year.

Newly announced OVA and season 3: Kumiko's 3rd year.
