Which Haruhi light novel should I buy?

I was going to buy a replacement mouse on Amazon, but since it was a cheap mouse, I couldn't get free shipping. So, I thought, "Why not get a Haruhi light novel since season 3 is never coming out?" But the issue came when choosing the light novel. I could start where the anime left off, which would be Rampage, but only 1 of the 3 stories there are not from the anime. Well, how about the next one, Wavering? Well, 2/5 of those stories were in the anime. The first all-new novel is Intrigues, I believe, but I'm not sure if I'm getting too ahead in the story.
So, which novel gives me the best bang for my buck? If I like it, I'll likely get the rest at some point, but right now, I'm just getting one.

I'd say go from the start. It's roughly the same as the show but you get a bunch of internal dialogue from Kyon and a few extra scenes and dialogues, but for the most part it's the same, with a bit of extra flare I guess. If my country wasn't in lock down I'd have all the books by now but they're really good quality and totally worth buying. Hope this helped lmao.
