----------------------------------------
The water polo boys have shared their experiences as a team together from losses to learnings, even so much as a training camp to spend time together and help improve one another's competitiveness. Minato is changing his routine to update to modernness.

Thinking back on Minato, it's not his amnesic condition to be brought back, but the aftereffects thankfully aren't that detrimental if he were to lose his memories with the rest of the guys. Good going lifting off that weight from your heart. For now, it's more training, and practice makes perfect. Something is off about Ushimado, and Minato notices it with an eagle eye. So being the weakest link in the team, a secret sole training regime in order to not drag the team down...or easier said than done, it affects emotions within the team as well.

A loner for much of his life, I relate to Ushi for having a sole purpose in life, and if things don't go the way he wants, then it's a done deal. But in some ways, the guys helping him out to boost his confidence, only he can exact that change within himself. And Minato provides a shouting boost dubbed the "Ushimado Shout", that certainly helped. And turns out that the guy who was acting like the bully of Ushimado's, really wasn't so bad, being a secretly caring classmate.

The Round Robin with Shogakugan and Rikka for the next prefecturals, lez do this!

Looks like the boys are finally getting the hang of it and they are getting better at the game. There's a training camp that is being held at the school which means lots of fun times with the boys, They were confessing things from their lives with each other. It was cool to see that they are finally getting along nicely.

Ushi thinks he's dragging the team down. So, he's training secretly. I know it could affect your mental state if you're not good at something where everyone else is getting better except you. Hush... Babi really scared us with his words. I'm glad it was just a misconception and nothing more than that. We also found out that Ushi joined the Water Polo Club because he was forced to but now he's doing fine and he's feeling much better about himself and that's all that matters.

Another fantastic episode. Quite interesting that Japanese uses the phrase "coming out" for confession game.

The guy from running club that bully Ushimado is quite hot. I'm glad in the end he concern about Ushimado, even if he's only talking to him when his friends are not around. But it's the first good step. Everyone is trying to hard to be an alpha when they're in school but the real alpha is the one who care for omega, not bully.

Training camp episode. Well, they seriously need it tho. Losing against grade schoolers was awful already. Anyway, Ushi's building up his strenght. He'll be good at the sport in no time at this rate. A pretty solid episode.

to be frank, its a solid episode, the team are happy together and the bully is not really a bad guy. but what's with the last scene? did she have another secret?

The way she frowned at the end was a bit scary, ngl. Hopefully she does ntg drastic that will hamper the team's progress or hurt Minato in any way.

I can find a lot of things I love in here. A little bit of romance, full of possibilities and treated in a graceful way, competition, desire for redemption, fleshed-out characters and an alternation of fun and deep. A little gem of an anime.

Yeah, that scene kind of rubbed at me the wrong way. I honestly feel that their relationship was much deeper than she initially led on, but because of his amnesia she lied about how close they really were. I mean, that kiss(on the cheek) in episode 1 was much too smooth for me to believe things were as simple as she stated them to be. That’s the feeling I get at least.

Chinu must be hiding something after that expression at the end of the episode, Minato is with training going well and is already very good in relation to his own team.

Is a small group of people, but is a great group of people.

And Ushi unlocked the shonen character power of screaming to get stronger.

Pretty good episode! The show's honestly getting better for each episode that passes by. I knew Ushi wasn't gonna hang himself, but that was still pretty dark. I am really enjoying the team chemistry so far they're great, I am sure they can do better than the kids now lmao.

Glad that dude that made Ushi join water polo team wasn't fully a dick. On the bright side, joining the water polo team has been a blessing for Ushi. Really nice to see Chinu even if it's only for a few seconds, need more screentime of Chinu! I wonder what that face at the end is about though, I definitely think they're more closer back then than what she led him to believe. Looking forward to the next episode.

ushi gets bullied, is weak and timid, but when he screams he suddenly gets an upgrade. could've been a shonen protagonist if he wanted to. too bad he joined water polo instead of practicing the samurai in mountains with a talking cat

Found this episode disappointing, we're halfway through the show and I don't think this random slice of life / team bonding episode was necessary. Also didn't find the suicide attempt joke funny. How are they gonna wrap up the story in just another six episodes? Hmm...

Don't know if I should have laughed at the suicide attempt misunderstanding but leaving that aside, it was a good episode. I liked how they handled the issue with Ushi's lack of confidence and the way in how his "bully" was portrayed as someone not necessarily mean was also quite refreshing.

On another note, I still despise Eitarou but I like seeing the group being this close.

This episode is concentrated to Ushimado....
well i guess its true enough that shouting might give you more of an edge...but it can be exhausting...
i wonder why Chinu frowned on the last few seconds there...?

you can have a sleepover at japanese school???! anyway I still don't really understand about water polo, guess I have to watch their matches vs other highschool to really grasp the rules. and about Ushimado, I totally understand how he feels, to be left out and feeling useless among his peers. he's lucky to have friends like them though.

I love the ED so much

Someone, anyone tell me
It hurts it hurts it hurts
What am I suddenly crying for?

Something in this episode made me tear up. And the ED always hits so well. Every episode makes me like the boys even more. They really are seeming like a team now. If only this were 2-cour, they would get so much more character development! And Minato’s reactions are always so cute lolollll. He is so earnest & I love his attitude. I’m rooting for him & really can’t wait to see how he improves & re-discovers himself again. It’s such a bittersweet feeling getting to know yourself again. Captain is a real great captain too, I love how he always breaks up their bickering & fights whenever Buuuuu & Amiami don’t see eye to eye.

So sweet when they tried to make the practice easier for Ushi & when Amiami was honest & didn’t want to sugarcoat anything for Ushi’s & the team’s sake.

Takekazu is SO hot♡ I hope he gets some development too.....but I don’t really see it happening since they already hinted at some of Captain’s back story the previous episode & probably have no room to squeeze much else in.

Aw, Ushi’s classmate was actually concerned for him. Why is everyone so hot.

I did wish they left the suicide misunderstanding out tho, that was pretty tone deaf seeing how high school kids do actually end their lives over this. I’m glad Ushi has the team♡

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

Totally agree, I want to see some story progression. I was also really taken aback by the suicide attempt part and thought it was really out of place and inappropriate.

Honestly when I saw that expression all I could think is that she's probably upset with herself for lying to the guy!
Guaranteed he never promised that second part about being the best in Japan in highschool or having to pay 220000. Probably all a lie cause she didn't like seeing how he had given up after becoming the best in Japan.

I think that slight frown of Chinu Kawakubo at the very end suggested that she's been lying to Minato, either for the second part of the bet or for both (probably just the second part), just like Eitarou Oka lied to him.

If you really think about it it makes no sense to claim money or any other kind of compensation due to an assumed bet from an amnesiac when there is neither a third party witness of that bet nor is there any other proof of it, such as a paper signed by the amnesiac that verifies its existence.

Since the amnesiac has no recollection of that bet / promise / whatever they would need to blindly trust the claimant, who can literally claim anything from them. They would need, in other words, to trust blindly a person they just met as far as they can recall.

Of course Chinu did not (almost certainly) conjure that bet to swindle Minato, she did it to motivate him to start water polo again, presumably because she likes him. And it worked. However she probably thinks that Minato will take issue with her lie when she either tells him the truth or regains his memories, whichever comers first.

As for Yoshiharu Ushimado he is the latest, and probably last, person of the team who almost resigned. From the next episode on I suppose we will get less personal issues and more competition with the rival teams :)
